Thanks for the recommendation, @natimomusic! [#2]
To say the least, this will likely be my favourite underground project out of all the recommendations I'm going through right now. No bias because this is self-promotion, I just simply enjoyed it a lot.
It's very consistent throughout, and it shocks me how much potential this guy really has. I'm cheering for you and hopefully the right audience finds you!
Well, I couldn't keep up with the lyrics and what the album is about, ... read more
Thanks for the recommendation, @P1kah! [#1]
I've got some recommendations piled up over the past couple months, so I think it's about time to get to them before I straight up forget about them.
I probably won't write long reviews for these releases because I'm fairly late to most of them, so nobody really cares about my opinion, but I'll still take my time to give a few words out.
Well, this was actually a pretty impressive record I'd say. Usually underground / ... read more
Thanks to @Mfbaster for the recommendation.
I liked this single just as much as your previous one, and though it's two pretty different styles of Hip-Hop, I think some variety can just improve this upcoming LP of yours. Beautiful tribute to Dilla aswell, this is really one of the best ways to pay respects to one. Looking forward to more stuff, thank you!
We had Some Rap Songs, now we got Some Trap Songs, which some of aren't crazy to call Some Crap Songs..
No comments on Mike for now, but this is probably Earl Sweatshirt's weakest studio album, and while this is a 2 disc album consisting of two different artists, I still think his part on here doesn't out-do any of his previous albums, and it wasn't because it was short or anything, no, he had about 30 minutes of material, which is very average for an artist like Earl, his ... read more
Can't believe he's only 10 years old
Don't know who this dude is but I'm always a bit fond of Cloud Rap so I thought I'd check this out because it seemed pretty interesting.
Maybe I'm not looking in the right places, but finding music like this nowadays is pretty hard I'd say. This whole mid-2010s style is actually pretty unique and kept me invested while listening.
From what I know, he releases projects quite rapidly and so it's pretty impressive for ... read more

So I decided to come back to yet another album I had struggles with liking, and it's yet another corny review I had to rewrite because it was a painful read. Goddamn you stupid wimp old Hover, this isn't overrated at all.
This was another turning point for Kanye, like 808s, it follows a different style than Kanye did usually, but it still had that badass and raw soul in him, like his past few projects. It has a noisy and aggressive atmosphere, which I definitely enjoyed. I ... read more
Memphis was on some shit in the 90's...
If you give two damns about me you would've noticed I've been listening to quite a lot of Memphis Rap recently, so I thought I would go and look at where it all started getting popular and the world started understanding what the hell was going on there.
Listening to the lyrics on here just gives me goosebumps. The way how the most impressive thing on here are how perfected the dark, violent and disturbing lyrics simply frightens me. I ... read more
THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR 600 FOLLOWERS!
I was saving this album for this milestone for quite some time now, mainly because I don't usually listen to albums amongst the most acclaimed on this site so my page would have a bit more originality and variety in it. So here we are. Before I start my review, I'd like to shout out some of my GOATs:

I'm not gonna sit here and pretend this wasn't worth the wait just because it was SLIGHTLY underwhelming.
Vultures 2 was an insanely embarassing release for an artist like Kanye and it's a horrible end to his discography. BULLY now being his most recent album is way better than whatever V2 was.
I don't believe Kanye rerecorded all of the songs to be empty of AI, but I think the majority of the album was fully original and definitely shows some improvement from Ye.

I never really liked Electropop but thanks to Slayyyter I was finally introduced to as to why people like this type of music so much. There's just so much going on and the lively atmosphere surrounding it left me happy and satisfied.
This is most definitely one of the contenders for AOTY, and at first I didn't get the hype for all the anticipation this album had, I didn't listen to the singles either, but now I'm ... read more
If bro keeps on making beats like this then the LP might be significantly better than the mixtape π
This gotta be my favorite single yet, keep it up brodie π₯π₯
I needed me some more knowledge on Jay-Z and his music, so after a little while, I'm listening to another album of his, this time being his debut, but still a reasonably undoubtable classic.
You can find some of Jay's most acclaimed songs on here, and if the rest of the album held up just as well as the first few tracks, it would, without a doubt, be his best album, but since there were several tracks which weren't as impressive, I unfortunately had to give it a lower score than ... read more
I'll try to catch up with 2026 releases a bit since I made a mistake of ignoring major releases last year and only discovering them a while after so I'll try not to make that same mistake this time.
What was left of the Hip Hop trio Injury Reserve after one last project surrounding the deceased member of the group was turned into a duo under a whole different name, and possibly a whole different start for them.
While I'm not very familiar with their sound or what their music ... read more

When it comes to recommendations, I tend to be a bit biased to not dissapoint people, but this was one of those occassions where you don't even have to be heavily pressured to like it, it's a really great experience on my part and I'm glad to have enjoyed it, thank you for the recommendation, @Mfbaster! Discography #23 complete
[Check out my last review if you want to see my thoughts on the discography]
This happens too frequently now. Yet again we end off a discography with another underwhelming project. I know this wasn't entirely serious but come on, you could've been funnier, Pegger.
Flume, however, is probably the reason behind all of the miserability in this, so I can't fully blame JPEGMAFIA for this.
The production is quite eh, only two songs had somewhat listenable ... read more
I was looking forward to this one, don't know exactly why. Is it because it's almost the end of his discography or is it because it's well acclaimed? Probably both.
Well, uh, yeah, my expectations were pretty much exactly what I got from listening to this album. Peggy yet again experiments with a new style, but it goes fairly well and this ends up one of his best solo releases to date.
This album in particular would attract a major wave of fans and so this is one his most ... read more
Nice little extra tracks from the two, but it sounds more like the tracks that were excluded from STH. The hoes were frightened.
Yeah, I think expanding the album a little was a good choice, and even though the tracks here may not be on the level of some of the tracks on the main album, this is still a good extension, because the album itself was simply a bit too short.
Well, this time, Danny Brown took the spotlight for me. I prefered his verses more than Peggy's, mainly because he had ... read more

This was my first JPEGMAFIA album and I listened to it when I was not yet into Experimental Hip Hop, so I didn't have a lot of positive feelings for it. Since I was curious what it would sound like now that I'm a fan of this subgenre, I decided to check it out again and see what I was truly talking shit about.
While I did like his breakout album, Danny Brown was the worse artist here, in my opinion atleast. Sure, he had some solid performances on different occasions, but ... read more
