Thank you for the recommendation @OlDirtyOmer!
From what I've heard, and what the reviews are about, this is Mfbaster's first ever single, and honestly, for your first EVER song to be released, this is really damn good. I found it to be a quite relaxing instrumental, but at the same time I was bumping my head too. I feel like your music could definitely go big with some time. Also, love the cover, whatever it's supposed to be. Good luck on making more awesome beats!

Imma listen to some Memphis Rap because I heard some.. interesting things about it and yeah.
Phonk is probably one of the corniest genres nowadays but the elements of it here work really well, and Memphis is where it came from. Nowadays it sounds horrible, but back when it was just a subgenre of Hip Hop it was actually enjoyable. Okay, maybe I don't have any more examples of it being really good apart from this, but who cares, I believe there are more albums like this who use Phonk ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - Overly Dedicated

I was looking forward to this mixtape for quite some time now, mainly because of The Heart, Pt. 2, but apart from that song, there weren't that many highlights or songs that outstand from other Kendrick songs.
Maybe the overall outcome of this mixtape wasn't very good, but it still has some notable songs that definitely deserve a place in a playlist.
Easily his best mixtape, since the previous ones were pretty bad, while this one is just ok, not much better, not much worse. The EP he ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - Kendrick Lamar EP

This is technically Kendrick's first album, because EPs shouldn't be over an hour long, but who really cares.
After his worst project, he surprisingly made his first good one in the same year. Maybe it was actually just a troll, now that I think about it.
He finally dropped the gangster persona, and this is the start of the Conscious Hip Hop route. Probably the best choice he made in his career. Okay, there was some Gangsta Rap throughout gkmc, but that's about it. He also let go ... read more

Shakespeare couldn't come up with "I shit fart pee pee on anybody track" even if he wanted to.
How the fuck did he recover from this and make good kid, m.A.A.d city 3 years later? Clearly it was a miracle.
Without a doubt the worst project Kendrick has ever made and it's somehow worse than anything I've ever listened to before so far.
I don't know what he tried to reach when making this album, but it didn't work out. Even though he had some corny songs back ... read more

No Sleep Til we stop stealing beats
I don't know how to feel about this mixtape, is it better than his previous one or is it not? The lows on here are higher, but the highs are lower, and a minus comes from the fact that most of the beats are stolen, so I think Training Day was significantly better.
It is a collab album at the end of the day, so I don't know if Kendrick isn't mainly the one to blame, but who the hell knows who's idea it was to jack the beats. Kendrick was ... read more

This mixtape improves everything his debut was short of, but it's still not very good. It's better in pretty much every stat, I'm glad the audio quality is better, but it still lacks redeeming qualities, even though it's one of his longest projects.
One of the earliest Top Dawg records, so this was already a start of something revolutionary, but just like I said on my previous review, the start doesn't always have to be good, something like that.

Happy new year y'all!
Out of curiosity, I decided I'm going to listen to all of Kendrick's mixtapes because that's what real fans do, or don't, I don't really know. I guess I'll also put these projects into my discographies list.
I was actually surprised this was really easy to find on the internet, because the cover makes it look like there's only one copy of the mixtape in the entire world.
Who the hell could've thought this guy would make two ... read more

Discography #21 complete

4 years after his best album we get yet another great album which proves he hasn't lost his skill since then, and then 3 years after this we also got one of the best albums of the decade from him and Malice. He has been on an absolute roll since 2018.
I liked the production, and yet again, Kanye and Pharrell can never go wrong, but it's not really the main focus on here. Well, I guess it's one of the main things to enjoy about this album, but it's ... read more

Pusha T - DAYTONA

The only thing stopping this album from being even better is the runtime. It's nice how Kanye wanted it to be a no filler album, but they could've rather just taken their time with making more great songs instead of making it 7 tracks total.
One thing is that all of the songs are good, atleast it sort of makes up for the length. Maybe there could be more features like there were on his previous albums, but it technically makes it more impressive because Pusha T is practically alone ... read more

His discography is progressively getting better, and I'm really glad. Though this isn't miles better than his previous two albums, it still has more enjoyable songs and it shows how he's putting more effort into his music.
So far, my favourite in pretty much every stat out of all of his albums, but I doubt it'll remain like that because what's coming next is going to be pretty exciting.
Yet again, the whole project holds on pretty well with a good amount of decent ... read more

It's sort of better than his debut album in pretty much every way but there are still quite a few misses and stuff, but he has definitely improved since.
He clearly put too much work into tracks 2 and 10, because the rest of the songs don't even compare to these two. They definitely make the album a lot more enjoyable though.
Pretty much every song is loaded with the usual Coke Rap, and it's getting a bit too dragged on, but Nosetalgia wouldn't be Nosetalgia if he ... read more

Since I have no life I thought I might aswell try and finish yet another discography from an artist that I've never heard any albums from. Well, Clipse, technically counts, but eh, it's somewhat different from his solo works.
This isn't a good start, but I'm sure it'll get better later on. He had an amazing verse on Runaway and 1 year later he makes this.. I guess it did take him like three tries to get the verse approved by Kanye, but still, you wouldn't think ... read more

Bossman gave me this album for free because he wanted to get rid of it or something but yeah big up to him. At first I didn't know what he done gave me because the vinyl cover looks different from this one, but after doing some research I was actually really surprised because who would give such a good album away for free? I don't know, but he probably had beef with MCR.

JACKBOYS - JACKBOYS 2

Discography #20 complete

What a God awful way to end this off. Travis should stay a solo artist, because JACKBOYS is straight up ruining his potential and just making him sound like a bad artist, even though he isn't even the main problem here. I know the majority of the bad songs had him on them, but still, I think this group shouldn't even exist in the first place.

Merry Christmas everybody!
This album was pretty much everywhere during 2023 'til early 2024. Yeah, you still hear songs from it every once in a while, but its peak was unmatched.
I haven't really been looking forward to this album but not that I hate it or anything, it's just not really a standout in his discography, and he sort of changed up his style for this project.

I never wanted to listen to this, and after doing so, I regret it. For the sake of Travis' discography, I'll also listen to JACKBOYS 2, but I'm totally frightened after listening to this alone.
To be fair, I don't know what comments I can make on this compilation apart from calling it mid. It's nothing like the stuff Travis has put out before, and I mean that in a bad way, of course.

The second highest peak in his discography, but popularity wise, it's the absolute peak.
To be fair, I knew it would be good, but it actually turned out an even better listen than I was planning, though my score remains the same like I wanted it to be.
Everywhere you would go from 2018 to 2021, this album would play on the daily. Every corner of social media was filled with Sicko Mode and Butterfly Effect. These songs are still banging to this day.

Well.. I didn't have my hopes up for this album, but it's a really quick trip down so early after his supposedly best album. It just feels a bit unfinished and rushed.
For his so called worst album it actually wasn't terrible, there are a few highlights and the weaker tracks weren't very bad either. I'm glad I'm over with this album, and it still wasn't very bad, so I have higher expectations for the rest of his albums now.

I would've never expected Travis Scott to have an album in the top 500 out of all artists, but I guess he was actually a really good rapper back then. He was also the king of auto tune.
Just from this album alone, I thought I might aswell listen to his discography. No not his mixtapes, fuck them. I don't know about the Jackboys compilations. I'll consider them.
