It's getting hard to predict what these albums really sound like. I looked at this thinking it was going to be some sort of sad album with a deep meaning and stuff like that, but it's kind of the opposite. Also, Rest in Peace, Jimi Hendrix and all members of the experience.
Apparently a lot of the lyrics talk about drugs and stuff, but apart from that, it's a pretty jolly album. In my opinion, it is a tad bit overrated, but I still enjoyed most of it.
Just like the title of it ... read more
For the popularity this group has, I'm quite surprised I haven't heard much of their music before, so you know the drill - I decided to check out more of their music.
To be fair, it doesn't really have any highlights besides the popular songs I've already heard before, but there were some decent songs apart from them.
This is one of those groups that don't really represent any particular coast in the states, because they're from Ohio, so it's not really East ... read more
I've been trying to find some bands that sound similar to my bloody valentine, and this is probably the closest thing I've found so far. A perfect blend of Shoegaze and Dream Pop never dissapoints.
There will be nothing that could make me relive the unreal experience of listening to loveless for the first time, but this is still kind of close to it.
Recently I've been getting more familiar with Shoegaze, so I might just continue searching for more albums that could get me even ... read more
It's just one of those days where you don't wanna wake up to listen to albums like this.
Jokes aside, this group is probably one of the most overrated. Ever. I know Nu-Metal is all the hype right now but come on, they get way too much monthly listeners than they should. Most people don't give a single damn about the lyrics, but still, most of the songs ain't even all that good, there's just a few songs that are somewhat enjoyable, the other ones are... questionable, to ... read more
Thought I'll listen to another Pink Floyd album to make my Dad (D1 Pink Floyd glazer) proud. I would've listened to this in the future anyway because it only makes sense to listen to all of the top 10 albums on the website. Also, happy 50th Birthday to this album.
I get why this is so highly rated. It is kind of grandpa music, but their taste is undeniable. Everything about this album is really great. This is technically a 12 track album, but of course they have to do something to ... read more
When I found out that one of this album's primary genres are Shoegaze I got really excited because it's one of my favourite subgenres of Rock so I didn't waste time and just started listening to it.
This was one hell of an experience. The second side of the album was significantly better than the first one, but I definitely appreciate both of them in the same way, it's just that there was more Rock-ness during the second side, if you get what I mean.
The story of this album ... read more
I came here to say Rest in Peace to D'Angelo. Thought I'll listen to this album aswell. I know it's been quite some time after his passing but it's always better late than never to say R.I.P.
To be honest, this album always caught my eye when I stumbled upon it, but I never actually wanted to listen to it, but since I've never heard any of his music before, I thought I might aswell listen to it and also pay my respects to him.
This is nothing short of amazing. All of ... read more
Del might just be the best Lench Mob member just because he took part in the creation of this album.
Easily the best Concept Hip Hop album. I love the story throughout the entirety of this album, taking place way in the future, and they did a great job making all of this this sound futuristic. The skits add on to the story really well, but I think they aren't really necessary, but it's a good addition eitherway, so it's no biggie.
I've heard of this album before, it was ... read more
I decided to come back to Gang Starr to hear more of DJ Premier's older beats because the new Nas album had very dissapointing production.
Well, I didn't expect this to be much better than Moment of Truth or anything near it, so I got what I wanted, but I can't say the beats satisfied me. I might check out more albums he produced, since this one didn't fully do the job for me.
Guru's rhymes are kind of average, he can make the lyrics sound good, but the lyrics themself ... read more
Thank you for the recommendation, @OlDirtyOmer!
I was really surprised to see a sequel to OB4CL, considering it's one of the best Wu-Tang solo albums and just one of the best Hip Hop albums in general.
This album does its job to let people relive the amazing experience of the original, but I think it hardly has any redeeming qualities that can compare to part one.
But still, it does have quite a lot points that make this album a great experience. 2009 was a pretty long time after the ... read more
Discography #19 complete
Nujabes' first and only posthumous album. It's so sad how short his discography was, but it was worth listening to anyway. I just wish he was there to make more projects, because I doubt he would release anything bad any time. R.I.P. to a Legend.
The production here is kind of different from his last few projects, it takes the Jazz Rap route more than the Lo-Fi Hip Hop one he usually took, but it sounds amazing anyway.
In my opinion, this is really ... read more
This just continues to prove why Nujabes is one of the best Hip Hop producers ever. Out of all the songs he has in his discography, there haven't been any bad beats so far, and I believe his last album won't contain anything bad either.
Been looking forward to this one because the album version of Luv(sic) Pt. 3 is on here. It does sound a bit different from the 2015 version, but it's still amazing nonetheless.
It's also his most popular album, so it was obvious there were ... read more
This is very similar to the first installment in the soundtrack series, but it's slightly weaker than the first one. This time there are 3 producers on here, and obviously Minmi on the last track with another great song. Nujabes took the major part of the runtime, so that's great atleast.
I honestly can't say anything much different about this soundtrack, since it's hardly different from Departure, but I guess the most different thing about it is that 3 producers got to take ... read more
Not primarily a Nujabes project but I thought I'd listen to it anyway since he has some great songs on here, and his part is definitely the best.
I've heard Aruarian Dance a billion times before and it was today when I find out that Nujabes was the one that made it. I never actually bothered myself to discover who did, but atleast I know now.

Since I liked Luv(sic) Hexalogy so much I thought I would just listen to Nujabes' discography because I have nothing better to do with my life.
Just from the 2 projects alone, I think this guy is one of the best Hip Hop producers ever. I can't believe how good all of his beats are. He hasn't produced a single bad song on here, and I believe there won't be any songs with a bad beat in his discography to be fair.
I just wish there were more songs with lyrics through out the ... read more
Gonna take a little break from 2025 music and listen to something from the past.
This is probably one of the most overrated Hip Hop albums, and even though it's not bad, it's definitely not as good as people say it is.
Okay, to be fair, I did get inspired to listen to this because of the Heat music video, simply because it's so good. Should've listened to this way before, but hey, atleast I had a reason to do it now.
There's only a few songs that slightly boost the ... read more
Might listen to more Deftones now because I'm certainly not satisfied with this album alone. Sure, it wasn't bad, but it's definitely not enough for me to be sure that they're as good as people say they are.
Usually I'm down for some Metal and I've never really disliked it, but this year it hasn't been very good in my opinion. It's great how people are still making it, but I think nothing can beat the way it sounded back then.
Obviously it'd be ... read more
I don't know why I haven't listened to this album when it came out, since it was one of the most major releases this year, but I can't say that I'm very happy with it now that I did listen to it.
Most of us know JID because of The Forever Story, one of the best albums this decade, so obviously he'd drop something really good again, right? It didn't turn out like that. This is quite a big downgrade from his previous album, but it's still not bad, just nowhere ... read more
Been hearing quite a lot of great stuff about this group. Not this album in particular, but I thought I might aswell listen to it since I'm trying to listen to more 2025 albums.
I get why people like them so much. Considering that this is probably their "worst" album, they're definitely worth all the hype, because this was sure as hell a great listen.

This really reminds me of Earl Sweatshirt's music. Well, obviously, because he's a feature on here, but the other songs sound just as similar.
Didn't really expect much from this album, it was kind of average in my opinion. Nothing really surprised me, but I guess the lyrics are the main focus here, but vibe wise though, not really good.
I know the production is really good, it's angelic, the instruments sound great, but I think for a Hip Hop album, this is really unusual ... read more
