You can pretty easily divide Swan's discography into a few unique sections:
The no wave era (S/T - Holy Money)
Gothic/Folk rock era (Children Of God - Great Annihilator)
Post Rock era (SFTB - Present)
I think out of these three sections, Swans did their best work for their "No-Wave" era. Furthermore, I would say that the closest they ever got to perfection, Was this album.

Absolutely ripping songs that also adequately convey the atrocities of your home country. Hell yeah.
