Everything this beautiful man touches turns into gold. One of the most heartbreaking experiences l've ever had with music. The way Peggy incorporates his feelings into such absurd and melodramatic lyrics is insane. The production is a masterpiece (as expected withPeggy) and is some of the most unique sounds to ever grace my ear drums. I don't even know what else to say other than I'm shocked and in love. Easily one of my favorite albums ever by now.

Lil Ugly Mane - VOLCANIC BIRD ENEMY AND THE VOICED CONCERN
100

This album sounds like nothing I have ever heard before, and I have heard A LOT of stuff. If I had to choose one word, "hypnotic" comes closest to capturing its atmosphere.
I listened to this album probably close to 100 times last year, and I can't get sick of it. The only problem I have, if any, lies in the random minute of silence tacked onto "Clapping Seal." Nonetheless, I extend my gratitude to Travis for this creating this unparalleled musical journey.

C418 - Minecraft - Volume Alpha
100

Few records have the same impact as "Volume Alpha," the score to the renowned Minecraft game. Daniel Rosenfeld, the genius behind it, masterfully crafts mood and texture through various synthesizer passages. This album’s rating is definitely biased due to the many nostalgic memories I have on minecraft, even though the biased motivation this album is still pure greatness.

Combining electronic and acoustic elements, the project seamlessly blends into a cohesive listening ... read more

The Brave Little Abacus - just got back from the discomfort—we're alright

I had known about this album for a while and was really excited to finally listen to it. The praise I'd seen around it, saying it’s one of the best emo albums ever, describing it as a massive, existential, and cathartic experience. Since many of my favorite albums fit those descriptions, my expectations were sky-high. Even so, I was completely blown away. I expected it to be impactful, but I didn't anticipate it being this raw, cathartic, and emotional. "Untitled" in ... read more

Charles Mingus - The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady
100

Charles Mingus deserves to be revered not just in jazz, but in all of music. While he boasts several classics, this album stands as his magnum opus, ranking among the top records of its genre without question. It's a fusion of hard bop, classical, and avant-garde, yet it maintains its own distinct identity in terms of arrangement, sequencing, tone, and pacing. Mingus pulls out all the stops, crafting compositions that are lush, textured, and meticulously arranged to perfection. The album ... read more
