One of my favourite albums of all time. The fact that this album is so rough and imperfect makes it shine for me. It makes it so much more human, and the lyrics are truly chilling. This album taught me that you don't need complex chords or glistening production to write a beautiful song. Honestly, one of a kind.

Best album of the year for me. Knew it from the first time I listened to it. Fuses synthpop with progressive rock in such a natural way with such a brilliant, ethereal concept that is hidden within the lyrics. Even the interludes are beautiful. Just listen to it already.
Favourite tracks: Killing time, image, death and romance, fear, sex, vampire in the corner, watching T.V, that's my floor, cry for me, angel on a satellite, the ballad of matt and mica

Absolute banger of a pop-punk album. I don't normally appreciate or like pop-punk, but this album converted me somehow, with it's incredible instrumentals and passionate vocals from Jeff. It does go through a 3 track rut, however (with soft living, healmode and life admin), which brings the rating down a tad.
My 3 favourites: FUTURE IS DUMB, I WANNA BE WRONG, 3 SUMMERS
This album really clicked with me as I love how the yelping vocals and the tight instrumentals interact with each other. The band feels like one unit cooperating successfully to create something genius and crazy fun to listen to. It's incredibly accessible too, as the funky grooves really put the listener into a trance.
My 3 favourites: Paddling, Peel St., Narrator
Such a great album for a debut. The build-ups on here are fantastic and some really pay-off. The anxious vocals from Isaac really match the groovy drums and guitar riffs. Also, sunglasses is a fucking masterpiece. To be honest, Track X brings the whole project down for me.
