this is one of the worst albums I've EVER heard in my life!! what is it trying to achieve? what is he trying to say?
Rubber Soul is not the best Beatles album, but it surely is one of my favorites. first of all, it’s probably the first time the band truly delivered an ALBUM instead of just a collection of more or less cohesive songs. second, I really enjoy the folk influences blended with the rock-and-roll and experimental sounds, possibly brought by Harrison. it makes the album sound soft, intimate, and cozy while still having plenty of character. however, I do think a few songs blend together in the ... read more
i am a huge Kacey Musgraves fan and have been since 2018 when i first listened to Golden Hour (92/100 for me). Middle of Nowhere is my favorite album of the year, disputing the spot with James Blake’s Trying Times.
i know some people are clamming this album as return to form or to her roots, but honestly i think Kacey did that on her last record, Deeper Well, though, i admit she experimented more with a softer and more introspective side of country with was more folk-leaning. on Middle ... read more
it is quite hard to write about this album because it is the first James Blake i am truly paying attention to. however, this is my favorite album of the year so far. I love how atmospheric it is and how his voice sounds throughout the whole record. the album is also very well written too
is this the best album ever? no. is it Harry's best album? no. nonetheless, it is a good album. in my opinion, it is a good piece of work with good sequencing (I'd put Paint by Numbers as opener probably) and a very chilled energy. it is not the electronic album you wanted maybe and it does not click immediately but that doesn't make it any worse. she is a grower not a shower and we should be fine with that. besides — fangirling moment now — Harry does what no other ... read more
it's not bad — actually, it is a good vibe! however, it is very forgettable. the songs are all too short and the listening to it doesn't feel like listening to an album but rather to a collection of songs put together
the third installment of her (for now) disco trilogy is not as great as the first ones but it's definitely a very interesting project that immerses the listener in a fancy velvety room. however, contrarily to the previous ones, Superbloom doesn't deliver new stuff nor does it take any risks (except in maybe Mr. Valentine)
this is one of the best albums of the decade.
nailed the disco aesthetic like no other and there are MANY others trying to.
i respect her so much!! most artists don't risk this such on their second album but RAYE decided to make a messy and bold statement that sometimes is entertaining to listened to but other times is just too much or too random
I really enjoy this album; however, it is a bit too intense. yes, there are AMAZING CLASSICAL moments but sometimes it just too much for me
imagine spending 10 years touring your latest album, which by now is 10 years old, just to release a new one that roughly sounds the same but worse
it feels like a warm hug. teleports you to a time I didn't live but I admire
some songs are truly interesting and make sense in the context of this adaptation (e.g.: House or Always Everywhere) but some others? I just don't get it! most times I was wishing she had leaned more in the direction of Open up — more like a score
do I need to say much more than George Orwell meets Pink Floyd?
very strong project and always interesting
