This is a love letter not only to Hip Hop, but his home State and Town Fayetteville. Thank you Cole, what an amazing project you put out
J Cole's 2nd Album, and My personal favorite. I love how replayable it is as an entire listen, and every song just hits and immerses you into Cole's conceptual storytelling and amazing pen game. Cole hasn't missed on a studio album, and he won't ever do it.
Hitler Wears Hermes 8: Sincerly Adolf is one of those albums from Westside Gunn that is always a fresh breeze everytime you bump it. It's a concise, and sweet listen with its luxurious production from the helps of Conductor Willaims, and of course, Daringer. This is also the Side A of "Hitler Wears Hermes 8" as "Hitler Wears Hermes 8 Side B" would release a month prior, which is the better side, but regardless, this is a fantastic experience as well. Every track on this ... read more
Westside Gunn and Conway did their thing very well, and Alchemist did his thing on production. Great album
How did Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist do it?? This has been on HEAVY repeat since it came out and the first review I did on this album didn't say much. This is a near perfect album especially in regards to "Alfredo". "Alfredo 2" not only adds a story to the first, but adds more lofi themed production by Uncle Al, giving a more mellow feel and experience compared to the first. I also like to sleep to this album for how laid back the beats are, and its very refreshing ... read more
Hey, I like it personally, but realistically this is a weaker project of Westside Gunn. Its a short EP with filler songs for an EP, and I don't recommend this for anyone getting into Westside Gunn, as its a weak EP in general.
A breath of a fresh air after the disappointing "11". Westside leveled everything up from "11" to "12", longer, and more consistent as a listen. It does have some songs that are not needed, but overall a great listen. Westside Gunn consistent as always
One of the greatest punk albums of all time. The Clash did something that I don't ever think can be replicated ever again. Amazing album.
"Teen X" is a polarizing EP. Some calling it the "best" and some calling it the "worst". I definitely see why its so polarized, as it does have some tracks that aren't high quality at all, whilst having a rage defining song "Yale". It's a decent EP and I enjoy it, but it isn't the greatest in Ken Carson's discography.
This isn't a good follow up to "A Great Chaos". At first it felt promising, but now headed into 2026 and it just feels like deep cuts from the 2023 album that he released, and even the Deluxe of "A Great Chaos" feels more cohesive than this. "More Chaos" doesn't feel right at all and the production is very bland, featuring a very boring and similar song structure every song. As much as it's a bad album, I do enjoy it, as it grew on me, not saying it ... read more
Ken Carson is one of the leading voices of Rage, having a lot of potential to be a superstar from the sub-genre, and he proves that with "A Great Chaos". Each track has distorted and high energetic 808s with some highly used auto tune on Ken's voice, giving this album of course: a rage album. I definitely think there are tracks that aren't the best, but aren't horrible either. I do however think Ken Carson likes to use the same Carti soun we have heard before on ... read more
Destroy Lonely's Broken Hearts 3 (Stylized </3³) was a complex listen. Not because every song sucks, but mainly because of how bland it sounds. I don't go back to this project as much because of how forgettable it is. Its not the worst mixtape of all time don't mix it up, but it's not a fantastic or great mixtape either, I think it's just "Okay'. Lone has definitely come a long way since being signed to Opium with Ken Carson, and Homixide Gang, by ... read more
This album definitely deserved album of the year. This blew me away on how much he changed his sound. Paying homage to his Puerto Rican roots, and fusing his sound with Salsa roots, and Latin Trap, it's a fantastic listen all the way and I definitely see why people enjoy this album so much.
Tyler The Creator proved how creative and consistent he can be, and he continued to do it with "CHROMAKOPIA". This is essentially his "Mr Morale & The Big Steppers" being a very personal project to Tyler, and expressing it through his own way. "CHROMAKOPIA" easily holds as one of the best of 2024, and of the 2020's. and we're near halfway done with this decade, and this album will continue to age very well. Great job Tyler!
"Views" by Drake always takes me back to when I was 8 years old, bumping some music I loved at the time, and "Hotline Bling" was one of the songs I always bumped as a little kid. "Views" as an entire album kinda feels like a fun chore, it's 81 minutes, so a tedious and long listen sometimes, but has some of Drake's biggest songs being "One Dance", and of course "Hotline Bling". along with some bangers like "Hype", and ... read more
Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine are literally destined to be together on songs. These dudes are unstoppable! I would imagine this mixtape with Benny as well, it would be fantastic. Overall a great listen, and a stand out for Gunna and Conway's chemistry.
