great mixtape and installment to the "Hitler Wears Hermes" Series. This is better than the 3rd by a good amount, but still has some lackluster songs on it. I wouldn't call it the best off of the Series, but it's a standout with one of Gunn's best songs with Conway: "The Cow". Great Mixtape overall.
Benny The Butcher proved himself to be a fantastic lyricist with Griselda, and he continued to do it with this EP. "The Plugs I Met" showcases his ability to hold his own against some of the best MC's in the game such as Black Thought, Jadakiss, his Cousin Conway The Machine, and Pusha T. This is a fantastic listen for Benny's catalog and will continue to be a great listen everytime.
Rage music isn't as bad as I thought. OsaMason proved that for me. The Production is CRAZY. How the heck did they manage to make the vocals so clear on top of VERY distorted 808s? Anyways, this was a pleasant suprise listen, as I am not too fond of rage music, HOWEVER, this album may have opened me up a lot more. Great listen!
The Start of Megadeth. Dave Mustaine had a rough start, being kicked out of Metallica prior to making Megadeth, Mustaine had a hunger to become one of the greatest metal musicians in history, and that he accomplished with Megadeth. Vowed to be faster and bigger than Metallica, he achieved the fast part, but not the commercial success Metallica accomplished. Killing is My Business is a raw, fast paced album with many incredible guitar work by Mustaine. Overall, a great debut for Metal and The ... read more
Look, as much as There are many filler tracks on this Mixtape, Early Westside Gunn was already promising. This mixtape being released 2020 being made in 2005 makes this a project where we were actually able to hear Gunn's evolution and hunger for the game. There are unnecessary tracks that could've been left out, like all the skits (they are unessecary for the tracklist) but the charm and performances are all there. Westside Gunn has one of the most consistent and lengthiest ... read more
"FLYGOD" Is the Debut album by Westside Gunn, and he had a LOT of Hunger for this album and future projects. Every song here has a part to play in the full experience of "FLYGOD". He talks about artisic identity, and where he is at on the album, along with blending street level lyricism, and art (along visuals) and Gunn's focus on Fashion and culture. One of the main highlights of this album has to be the production. Daringer's beats, Alchemist Beats, and many more ... read more
Injury Reserves return as By Storm, and my god they did fantastic. Rest in Paradise Stepa J. Groggs. You're friends, brothas, and fellow musicians did you justice.
Another fantastic album by Dave Mustaine and the Best Lineup. Megadeth proved they can make banger hits, and that they did on this album. Amazing.
Megadeth's most complex and greatest work. The riffs, solos, and teamwork they provide on this studio album makes Rust In Peace an amazing listen. Perfect all the way.
The Search is a deep project by Nate Feuerstein, NF. And I bumped this A LOT during 2019-2020 so It holds a lot of sentimental value to me during my darkest times. Thanks Nate.
NF's Best Project with his best performances on the mic. Many people find NF corny which can be true at times, but he really dedicates himself on his albums, which I respect. Great job Nate!
FINAL FIRST LISTEN RATING: Strong 7 (75-79)
AFTER A COUPLE LISTENS: Light to Decent 7 (70-75)
I do see there are some tracks that lose momentum, but the consistency is great. Don's performances were great and enjoyable. Travis Scott's produced tracks were also great. Very pleasant first listen for "OCTANE"
UPDATE AFTER A COUPLE LISTENS:
I overhyped a lot of the songs, and sometimes I do that for a lot of first listens. "OCTANE" is still a very decent album, but ... read more
PRELUXE RATING: 90
loved every track but I see why he cut them out.

This album is definitely a contender for album of the year. The opening track "YouUgly" with Westside Gunn bringing an incredible bridge, with immense bass, "Community" with Clipse, with Clipse also recently releasing "Let God Sort Em Out" Being an incredible album as well. And they're feature doesnt dissapoint at all, being a highlight of the album. JID also dives into a ... read more
(FOR SUN: 95) Sun is a great addition to the tracklist and Anycia did her thing, as well as JID.

JID is one of the most unique voices of our generation, and he proved that with this amazing LP. Strong concept, themes and production. This could be considered a Modern Classic, with "Raydar" being a strong punch of lyrical punchlines and rhymes, consistently bringing out different flows, and "Dance Now" Being another banger of a track, bringing a punchy hook, strong verses, and a repeated sample immersing you to the Story of JID. "Kody Blu 31" showcasing his ... read more
Biggie didn't have much to live out for after this album, as even before his sophomore album "Life After Death" he was killed. However, "Ready To Die" already proved his status as a legend. It's production by Diddy (The Diddler) and curation by him really shows us how underrated of a duo they were when they were actually working together. "Ready To Die" released months after "Illmatic", Biggie had a lot of competition to deal with, and he ... read more
Conway's best album. His Lyricism and curation for this album is flawless and I have nothing bad to say. It's always so consistent, and the performances of each feature as well as Conway is amazing and also flawless. One of the best albums of the 2020's and I hope it gets recognized a LOT more than it currently is. Conway La Maquina!
one of the best Mixtapes of 2026 so far. IDK did his job and it payed off well. IDK is an artist I see so much potential in, and I hope he blows up this year.
Again, JID does not sound good at all. However, it does set a small print of the JID we see today. JID has DRAMATICALLY evolved since these mixtapes.
