this album feels like a friend. it feels like it's just someone chilling with you, talking about their life. coziest, most comforting album i've heard in ages
Such a mindful project. Rest in peace to all victims, and death to American imperialism.
I love the vibe of this! Only thing that makes me rate it a bit lower than it should be is because some songs are really heavily influenced by other bands, especially the first few songs feel straight out of Isn’t Anything by my bloody valentine. That’s a great thing though because I’m mbv fan number one
I'M SO HAPPY I CAN FINALLY GIVE THIS ALBUM A (GOOD) RATING!! I've listened to it like 3 times in the past but it never really clicked with me until tonight! This album has such a beautiful, moving vibe, it feels like you're listening to a short dream in the countryside as a child, wandering through fields, playing with animals and sometimes stumbling on rocks. Heartbreaking lyrics, such a beautiful and sometimes eerie sound to it. Genuine goosebumps.
Just concluded my full GY!BE discography listen, and I can confidently say that this is my least favorite project of theirs, which nevertheless is still a great project, it's just not up to GY!BE standards I feel like. It just felt overall very dry and empty, but that last song saved the record though. I also don't know why the songs are split up into parts, I feel like GY!BE's personality is all about making long 20 some minute tracks which make the whole experience feel more harmonic and ... read more
I love this, so emotional and so meaningful as usual from this band.
“GOVERNMENT CAME” (9980.0kHz 3617.1kHz 4521.0 kHz) is definitely one of their best songs
Very underrated project, super nice instrumentals and sounds as usual, the melodies and the heavy trumpets/violins give it a very threatening and aggressive tone, just great stuff. Only downside to it is the lack of sampling, which I think they very much exceed at and one of the very things I like about GY!BE. Nevertheless, another masterpiece by them
controversial rating but i don't like this album i've listened to it more than 5 times trying to understand what it's all about but i just don't get it it's just not clicking with me
THIS IS JUST PEAK. PEAK MUSIC. AS GOOD AS POST PUNK GETS. AS GOOD AS MUSIC GETS.
This album makes me feel like I'm tripping on something crazy, especially the first track. I love it
