Slayyyter - WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA
86

as soon as this album starts you are punched in the face with fantastic electronic beats that are elegantly layered along with distorted vocals that fit very well. i really love the edge of this album but im not the biggest fan of how it blooms out as the record goes on but other than that gripe “WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA” will certainly be one of my favorites from this year. (granted i haven’t gotten around to much new music yet)

Aphex Twin - Come to Daddy
83

I havent heard much from d&b and this was a solid introduction. the first two tracks are really special and is overall compareable to some of Aphex Twins full albums.

Melvins - Houdini
86

the first 5 tracks carry this album very hard but that doesn’t stop it from being one of the most influential albums of all time. the riffs on here are fantastic and very gritty. hooch is the best example of that sound and kicks off the album incredibly strong.

Fishmans - 宇宙 日本 世田谷 [Uchu Nippon Setagaya]
95

Fishmans final studio album is an album that masters a very floaty and ethereal songs. the pacing is excellent and the repetitve nature on some of these tracks is astonishing. and the bass on this thing is just spectacular beyond words.

Pink Floyd - More
56

this album really doesn’t portray many glaring flaws. yet it lacks a lot of substance which isn’t suprising for a soundtrack album granted those can be really great. The Nile Song and Ilbiza Bar are really cool tracks and I would say they should be on another record of theirs but they just don’t fit in with most of pink floyds catalouge.

Boris - Boris at Last -Feedbacker-
88

parts 2 and 3 are really cool and i wish that was more of what this album was. part 1 feels needed as it draws you in to the album but the last two tracks haven’t really clicked yet. still a great listen with some mind melting moments.

Fugazi - 13 Songs
94

despite the first half being a slight step up in quality this is maybe my favorite album i’ve heard from the 80s. the vocals on here flow perfectly with the instrumentals and the guitar riffs are fantastic track to track

Kanye West - BULLY
42

I mean there is clearly some effort in this project and some of the samples here are nice but not as good as kanyes older stuff which isn’t a suprise at all. overall a snoozefest outside of some interesting moments here and there. he just needs to retire from music tbh.

Miles Davis - Relaxin' With the Miles Davis Quintet
84

very nice. this album doesn’t try and go overboard and does its job.

Ween - The Mollusk
92

this is such a great album simply because of how good of a job ween does of mixing different sounds together throughout the album yet it still sounds very cohesive and doesn’t feel all over the place. the second half of this album is especially great too.

Pink Floyd - Pink Floyd at Pompeii - MCMLXXII
97

absolute masterpeice. every element of this record is top notch. the vocals are minimal yet play such a distinct role in many of the songs. the drumming is unreal and there are some amazing guitar riffs on here.

Enjambre - Daltónico
88

great album all around, so many great guitar riffs and the vocals on here add so much depth and emotion. the album also finishes very strong.

Charli xcx - Wuthering Heights
79

man i wish house wasn’t shoved everywhere, truly a special song. the mix of classic charli and ethereal instrumentsls make this a great soundtrack.

Aphex Twin - Richard D. James Album
75

this is the most experemental aphex twin had gotten to this point in his career but this album is a bit incosistent in quality.

Edan - Beauty and the Beat
94

super underated. the beats are very unique and the blend of psychedelic rock gives the album a lot of depth. the flows are amazing but the lyrics are okayish but with everything else being so good it doesnt hurt the album much.

Aphex Twin - ...I Care Because You Do
80

out of all of aphex twins projects that I have heard so far this one is by far the most out there with several tracks having a very abrasive sound. sometimes on here the execution isn’t perfect and serveral of these songs drag on a bit but this is still a very good album.

Madison Beer - locket
66

overall i think this album has some solid elements but half of it just sounds like background music for a grwm video

Boards of Canada - Hi Scores
88

with this being the final bit of boards of canadas discography i needed to check out i must say i was impressed with this EP a lot. obviously a very similar sound to MHTRTC but still has a distinct sound that seperates it from that album. Nlogax is a lot of fun and the closer is reallt great too
