Justin Vernon you beautiful son of a bitch you've done it again. Over the past five years I've slowly fallen in love with the music throughout Bon Iver's discography, and I was so excited to finally experience an album release as a fan. If this is the last album from the Bon Iver project than Vernon ended on such a high note. James Murphy got me groovng to some silly little beats and then drops an anvil on my heart out of nowhere, my God
Definitely got that "band you loved as a kid and grew out of as an adult" vibe but there's still some bangers on here.
Some really great songwriting here, but it’s so samey sounding that getting through the whole thing is a bit of a slog.
A little late to the game here, but Man I Need has been one of my favorite hits of the past year, and I had to tap into this one. The Art of Loving is simply a lovely album, easy to listen to and sure to put you in a better mood. I would love to see Olivia Dean stick around in popular music.
Bruno has no excuse to release an album this bland and forgettable after such a long time since his last solo album. I like the latin soul influences but somehow after Risk It All ends, The Romantic just sounds flat.
