Came to this review expecting another Saviors, and fro the first few songs that's what I got. It turns around at Good Time into a genuinely fun pop album. the first half are basically pop rock type beats, but the rest has some catchy and fun moments. Really what you would expect from Cage.
I don't really care fore this '70s style fo rock parody. I don't have anything wrong with it, just not my thing. It does have some decent moments, but the rest too weird for me.
I came to this record only having heard Virgin With Rage holding the expectation that this would be hilarious. I was wrong.
Obviously, this is funny in theory. Chris is constantly yelling off key and beat over the exact song he is trying to parody, and I mean the exact same. He didn't even try to find instrumental versions. For the first few songs it is funny, but it falls off hard fast.
I was getting ready to dunk on this soundtrack then I remembered I hand't finished all of the demos. Biggering is a pretty good song, so I figured the rest of the early music from this soundtrack would be too. I actually like it less after finishing them.
I have several issues about the movie. I won't get to them here because this is a site dedicated to music(if I ever make a letterbox account I'll link my review fo the movie here), but a lot of these issues are reflected in this soundtrack. ... read more
In today's world, it feels like pop music is mostly dominated by how big some one's name is rather than the quality of their music. Artists like Billie Eilish go against that fact. Their music is built with care based off of something personal that resonates with a lot people. I am not one of those people, but I can see why music like this is so important.
Like I said, I feel like mainstream pop music is an odd space. A lot fo artists receive praise for something shallow that represents a ... read more
Vylet pony is an artist I've been hearing about since I first started using this site, but I never listened to her until now. After hearing this I already get. The beat is insane. All the random samples from all over the place fit in perfectly. The rap verse goes insane too.
So I recently did a review of ZODIAC by Hakos Baelz. In the review I mentioned how pretty much every musical project from a Vtuber I had heard prior was a soulless cash grab or made by people who clearly hadn't developed fully as artists. Come to find I was missing out.
IRys is some one I had never heard of before until @Misterpanderan recommended this EP to me. Thank you for doing that. I was missing out hard. The vocals here are incredible. The one thing I enjoyed from ZODIAC were the ... read more
after listening to this project again I am realizing it's just not my thing. I can understand why people like it though. It's hard hitting commentary that continues to age well delivered by some of the most entertaining characters in music.
It starts with Prison Song, which really sets the stage for what SOAD is, and is the reason understand the praise this record gets. The social commentary throughout this record is not subtle, and I wouldn't hold that against the group. I like unsubtle ... read more
Her best project so far. It's funky, danceable, and has some really nice vocal performances.
Man that was underwhelming.
Time to review some Vtuber music! Yeah, the last time I actually listened to full album produced by a Vtuber was at the dawn of this with Sinderella by Mori Calliope. I haven't really felt the need to dive into any full length projects from them since then. Especially when I was hearing singles like the CPR cover, but I've decided to return to it.
Yeah it's all the same. I guess sometimes there are some nice vocal performances, but they're always drowned out by the ... read more
