I've been having it too good lately. Time to suffer.
I knew it wasn't going to be as bad as Brad said it was, but it's not like it was good either. Really just a boring emo rap album that comes from one of the most annoying figures in modern music.
Every once in awhile I'll come across an album that really just makes me think "this is pretty nice," and nothing else. I kind of expected this to be one of those projects, it kind of was that for quite a few songs, but it offers way more than that.
This album tackles themes of race pretty well in my opinion. It places real accounts over digestible interludes that never feel unwelcome or take up too much time. All the production and instrumentation is very pretty. It's a simply solid ... read more
This album somehow manages to be very tight while also having a lot of space. The compression on some tracks is sharp.
smh bro think he me
Seriously though this is amazing. I don't know how to describe it. It's very open and dreamy. Feels exactly like the cover.

Man I gotta redo this one. I feel like my old review came off as just hating because of his other songs, but I do have a reason for hating this beyond that.
With this album, CG5 proves that creativity does not come with talent. While this isn't as offensive as his other albums, it does nothing else to remedy that. He shows can only grab people's attention by pissing them off. Even artists like the Shaggs, who have no talent or knowledge of how to make music whatsoever, are more creative. I ... read more
Doing my best to keep this as separate from the Grammies as possible to avoid an off topic rant.
Taylor is the biggest artist in any field fo music at this point. I feel like she's starting to become gradually overrated ever since Midnights. Mostly because she realized she doesn't have to try for success and is slowly giving up. 1989 has gone down as her own version of thriller. You've probably heard at least half this album already. I feel like the half that you do know is actually good. All ... read more
Sorry y'all I won't be listening to this for a while. Parents won't let me listen to a rated R album til I'm old enough.
Yeah I've needed to come back to this for a while. I guess was trying to be cool by completely hating on it. It could also just be my general dislike for the rest Green Day's music. Either way I was just being a hater. This is a nice enough rock opera. Unfortunately, it's become the biggest victim to overplay. That's its biggest drawback. The songs that aren't overplayed range from actually good to forgettable.
Harsh noise is the banana taped to the wall of the music world. The average person will dismiss it as lazy because "anyone could do that." I admit, it's easy to see it that way, but that's also missing the point. Artists are trained to be constantly challenging themselves with every creation. Contemporary art challenges this by slapping something together then, maybe if you're feeling adventurous, come up with some bs hidden meaning. Yeah I think when you try to assign a meaning to a ... read more
