Max & Match absolutely decimates competition for the utmost quality music within the k-pop industry. This record is incredibly dense and loaded with both synth and future bass-influenced sounds. The lyrics here are also more thematical and unique compared to efforts from other subunits.
It can feel a little too spacey and empty at points in the record, but it remains the least of my concerns as highs on this thing blow literally everything out of the park. This is a must listen album, ... read more
Worlds retains well-written story building and progressive natures on its tracks, comprised of both energetic and absolutely gorgeous electronic elements. Although the lyricism isn't intended to be the very best, it is more than made up for with the highly charismatic, hopeful, and optimistic instrumentals.
Even facing its sheer diversity, the songs which compile this record are able to create such a cohesive and enjoyable experience for me.
Veteran girl group TWICE kicks off the new year with a colorful and fresh feel in their recent mini-album. They manage to pull off the recent trends in 2-Step and drum and bass fairly well, while also keeping the project well-produced and cohesive all around.
While it may not compare to some of TWICE's best works, I am more than happy to settle with this regarding their efforts which preceded With YOU-th.
A fun collection of indie tunes from this upcoming American boyband, though they struggle to find a way to stand out and really present something special about themselves. While this EP is nice on the ears and remains cohesive, the vocals are underwhelming to me and it just ends up feeling like the band is doing as much as they could, though it really isn't enough in the end.
Still an enjoyable experience nonetheless. This would especially appeal to those who enjoy lots of indie rnb and ... read more
OIL OF EVERY PEARL'S UN-INSIDES is as groundbreaking as it is colorful, expressive, and shattering as a record. SOPHIE leverages off her 2015 compilation to create something so gorgeous yet utterly charismatic through her keen ear for production. I also find this album to be very cohesive, whether it becomes bouncy or brutal, heavy or light.
A much needed record which heavily influenced the electronic scene; UK, underground, or both. This is an essential to its respective genre.

This compilation of deconstructed club bangers sets up a perfect representation for SOPHIE's signature sound. Production is completely out of this world on this track and so are the more sweet and catchy tracks like BIPP and HARD. While slower tracks do take their time and are cohesive with the rest of the record here, they unfortunately don't do as much as the highlights here.
Fun compilation. Very fresh sound and serves as a solid appetizer for SOPHIE's debut album.
