I'm gonna put this as simply as I can: Soundtracks For The Blind is not just one of the greatest albums I've ever hard, but might be one of the greatest pieces of music I've ever heard.

What a spectacle- an avant-garde masterpiece- a true opera.
Hunter Hunt-Hendrix reshapes Black Metal into her own image, combining the aforementioned genre with influences of Post-Rock, Chamber Music, and Avant-garde Metal- creating a bewildering and breathe-taking Opera that flows with excellence and no hesitation. One of my all time favorite Black Metal projects- Diving headfirst into themes of nihilism and misanthropy, Mgła bring the traditional Black Metal beliefs and philosophies into a harsh and poetic light. It's veracity knows no bounds and it is one of the harshest Black Metal records I've heard- not necessarily in sound, but in its concepts and themes.

I had to add this entire band just so I could talk about this one album. This thing is sort of obscure, but trust me, I think it is worth diving into. CODEX NERO plunges anyone who dares listen into a whirlwind- a hellacious storm that is their brand of Black Metal. They manifest such supremely dark and rich atmospheres that fog the air, and those atmospheres are potent from front to back of the record.
