It's alright and even sometimes great.
But i really felt those 1h15min.

Daniel Lanois - The Music of Red Dead Redemption 2
95

Of course the game experience impacts my rating but goddamn this is really fucking good

Fontaines D.C. - Romance
65

very much overrated.
Never been a fan of their sound but it sounds boring from times to times.
Still quite a few great elements and nice songs

The Velvet Underground & Nico - The Velvet Underground & Nico
90

Fundamental for every sounds we get in rock today. Of course with today standards it might sounds a bit old and outdated but still amazing

Brand New - Daisy
83

great great album. A bit inconsistent but still overall very solid with an incredible sound

Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights
97

"Interpol banger. Objectively the best. Not my favourite tho !"

Is what i would have said around 2 years ago if i was a bitch which i am.
It is the best AND my favourite.
I also hope someone makes loves thoroughly to Carlos D every night because those basslines are absolutely marvellous

Cage the Elephant - Melophobia
82

I love all of it (almost)

Daft Punk - Random Access Memories
96

their greatest alongside discovery. I don't like doin' it right but the rest is so great it balances

Tame Impala - Currents
90

I love tame impala

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
67

Meh, some good shit on there tho

Racing Mount Pleasant - Racing Mount Pleasant

It might actually be better than anything that ever released this year and even the year before like why the hell do i like it so much !!!

This is the best this year has produced in term of rock and it's not even close (ok Maruja's album was really cool tho)

Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon
93

Is it as good as people say?

Yes.
The pink floyd formula is so so efficient with me.
An ethereal album with so much to offer. So generous.

Guitar solos ? Amazing
Lyrics? Amazing
Overall sound? Amazing

It's such a classic that even if you don't know it you know it. The atmosphere of the whole thing is just so nice to go into.

I will say that i still found it to be a bit outdated at time in some of the vfx used or in the mix that i don't really appreciate particularly. Still ... read more

Panchiko - Ginkgo

ALL RIGHT

I was very excited for this album to come especially when i heard the Singles which were really quite nice.
And overall i would say it's a good album ! I expected a bit more surprising elements but it's still overall solid !

It's actually way more coherent than i tought it would be and in that aspect it's the best panchiko project. And Overall it is their best project !
The glitch/dream pop + Indie rock mix is really well done and engaging.
Lot of songs on here ... read more

James Marriott - Don't Tell The Dog

Edit 63 -- 70

I was definitely too harsh with this. It's actually a lot more enjoyable than i tought. I still think all my points below are valid but it definitely has some really nice songs and it's more on the good pop spectrum than on the bad pop spectrum.
My apologies with you Jasper, i should have told you earlier.

Yeah...

To be honest i see why this would be an appreciated album :

Touching lyrics, the best vocals James has put out to this day, a polished sound and cool ... read more

Probably one of the best debut album of all time, it's iconic. I find it so impressive that they managed to find their sound so fast and managed to keep it so consistently on this album. Julian's voice is as amazing as ever and lyrically it's veery strong with some classic rock themes such as drugs and sex but it's written in a way that makes it still interesting and relevant. The songwriting is great and the guitar solos are fucking incredible. What can i say about the bass ... read more

Muse - Simulation Theory

I love Muse, i grew up listening to them and had this album gifted to me when i was younger so i have a bit of a bias on this LP BUT i can say now with a little bit of thinking that yeah... It's not really good, it's not horrendous but some songs on here are really close to be. Muse can't really reinvent themselves even when they try . The electronic and futuristic elements they tried to create are awkward and the themes are always the same.. PLEASE TRY SOMETHING ELSE WE KNOW ... read more

Arcade Fire - Funeral

ARCAAADE FIRRE
What a great album.
Everything is so good in this. I love the way Arcade fire does their instrumentations. Everything is near perfect in that aspect. The fact that THIS is a debut album is actually mind-blowing because it feels already so mature and accomplished while still being so extravagant and all over the place. It's kind of weird (in a good way). And i'm not talking only about the sounds they have (which is always so good with the strings etc...) but lyrically ... read more

"@kitvae The thing is they probably would never do it that way, Ground didn't do very well when it came out so they just continued what they were doing before and Rift is a way to test the ground (hehe Ground) . But yeah i agree they would benefits soooo much from doing new things"
