The mixing and production is what really hurts this album in my opinion. The mix just comes across as lazy, and leads to the instruments sounding super overblown, rather than having the rich textures that shoegaze is known for. The vocals are nice, but nothing to write home about.
AWFUL mixing, and Kanye is the worst part about this album. I honestly feel bad for Ty Dolla $ign and the various features for putting in the effort to make the songs sound decent, then having Kanye absolutely kill the song. Vultures 2 starts decent, but completely self destructs after PROMOTION. He is just tainting his legacy at this point.
1000th rating. Extremely chill and smooth album, that makes its hour and 45 minute runtime seem a lot shorter
“What if I just copied duster but made it 50x more boring and corny, and put the worst cover of all time on it?” - sign crushes motorist, probably.
