This isn't really an album. This is more like an EP. Sure it is good but it was advertised like a pop-up art piece. I think that this "album" takes some strange corners and tries to end stronger than it starts. My favorite song on this project is Ghost Town by far. It has some great production on it from Ye and it is so unique. This project is just unique in general. At the end of the day, this was the last good album from Ye front to back and I stand by that. But it ain't ... read more
I don't want to hear anymore of this garbage. Please just server you sentence bro. I'm done XD.
This is Tyler's best work. I love the sound on this project! This doesn't feel like edible mainstream material. This feels like you need an acquired taste for this LP and I am all for it. I dig every song on this project and sounds like a great sequel to IGOR. Two great albums back to back is not unheard of but is always a great thing to see. This project is great and I want to hear more of this sound from Tyler on future projects.
Apart from like two songs on this LP. This is the worst to come from Ye and is practically unlistenable. I don't think we will ever get "Kanye" back. I say we drop our loses and forget about this legend who just ruined his career. I would say this is for the better and i hope he turns himself around with BULLY though it is unlikely.
This is when The Weeknd showed the world what he was capable of. He offered us a great project and took it to the Superbowl. This was a great way to start a story and the whole concept for this album was great. I enjoyed it thoroughly from front to back and my favorite track off of this project was the self titled track. It may be six minutes but it is worth the long time. It felt like The Weeknd's own spin on GONE, GONE / THANK YOU. I love this album and the fact that he stuck with story ... read more
I don't get why this album wasn't as popular as After Hours. This album was miles better than that and honestly this might be his best work. Out of Time is definitely the best track here and I don't think we will get anything better than this from Abel. This is peak and this is the kind of album I wanted for the longest time. Less than Zero is an amazing stadium closer which has been used wisely in doing so and the Tyler feature on this album was a great treat to his fans. The ... read more
As I listen to this album more and more, I start to like it more and more. This is a decent album and I don't think I could have asked for a better one coming from the guys that says "ok" "pussy" and "21" every two seconds. The sounds varies a lot on this LP and I don't seem to get the purpose of this album other than a catalog of mainstream hits. I don't really care about that though as long as the music is decent or even good which it is.
I am going to say this once and never say it again. This was pure shit. BURN was the only good thing to come from this project and CARNIVAL is the next contender. Well done Ye for letting your people down with you second shitty project. Get well soon brother.
This album could have been better I will be honest. I have been a big fan of the boys since the Blurryface era. These guys know how to pump out new music but this just doesn't cut it compared to something like Trench. They had me reeled in when Overcompensate released but as soon as I heard Next Semester, I wasn't sure what they were doing with this album. The problem isn't that the music is bad, it is that the direction of this album is unclear and doesn't really feel like ... read more
To put it very simply, this might be the best rap album of the century. I will say though that this album does feel very long. Other than that I have no complaints. I am just waiting for another TPAB like album either from Kendrick or someone else.
This is one of if not the worst album to come from Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR. It is way too bloated (even though all of Drakes albums are), most of the songs didn't hit as hard as every song on FATD, and the fact that this album was supposed to be about love and sex shocks me since it doesn't sound like that at all. Most of the time this album shits bricks and doesn't stay on course. Sure there are the occasional hits here and there but you have to skip tons of songs to get to ... read more
This is one of the last songs we got from Kanye before we really started to lose him :(.
All though this album is very lore heavy and needs much research to be done in order to understand, I love it! This is for sure their best album and I honestly think that they should have kept this sound for their newer albums. The length of this album is perfect at just under an hour. Tyler's energy is perfect and fits the albums meaning so well. Not to mention the production on this album is crazy. Paul Meany did a great job. Josh's drums are top notch and very sophisticated through ... read more
This is probably my favorite Kanye album next to Late Registration. This album has his most powerful intro while it struggles in finishing itself. I feel like "Lost in the World" could have been a great finisher to the album. Basically every song on the album is perfect besides "Monster" and "Blame Game". Otherwise, the sound on this albums is great. Its underlying story is sad yet beautiful and I don't think I could ask for much more on the album and I think ... read more
What a great closure to The Weeknd's discography! This was a wonderful album. The production was great and the overall story of the trilogy lines up well. Let's just say that this is how you should end a story. However, this album isn't all good, there has never been a "perfect" album though there have been some that have come pretty close. I will first address that this album is very bloated. I feel that the albums runtime of 84 minutes is a bit much and after a full ... read more
