This album (in my opinion) was a significant upgrade from Clancy. I am not saying Clancy was bad, but it seemed to mellow for what was supposed to be the end of the story. I mean now I know the reason for that but that album still sounds really dry and prefer this over it. City Walls is probably one of their best openers since Jumpsuit and Drum Show is one of their best singles to date. I feel like the highs are really high on this album and the lows are obnoxiously low. I would say this is the ... read more
This is a great follow-up to his last album "The Forever Story". I need some time for it to grow on me since I don't think it is an album where it is perfect on the first listen. So I may update the rating for this later on.
I don't think that this is bad but I don't think that he should go back to this dark of a vibe. I don't think it fits his character even thought he went through this in real life. But hey the album is good so I am not complaining.
How is Clipse's first album after 16 years their best album? Honestly this doesn't make sense but I guess I have new music to listen to.
Edit: This album is a fucking victory lap and I love it even more now.
This is almost as good as Take Care, but it seems like he get a little lazy during some songs and this project easily could have been better than Take Care if he put more effort in. Best song : Jungle.
I don't care what people say. This is peak Drake. Saying that IYRTITL is his best album is actually insane. I also call myself insane because I use to think that IYRTITL was his best album. But no, this is. It may not be the most consistent but it is his most meaningful and it has straight bangers back to back. I love the vibe of this album and Marvin's Room puts me in lock down every single time I listen. Headlines is a dream and used to be my favorite Drake song. Pretty much every ... read more
Drake may make a comeback with this next album and this single shows signs of that. This is the first song drake has put out since the First Person Shooter that is listenable and doesn't sound like slop. $$$4U was overhyped by twinks on tiktok and didn't convince me that he could make a comeback. But this may have changed everything and the live stream was interesting with the whole super-liminal ice factory vibe. I like the aesthetic and I hope he doesn't fumble the bag on this ... read more
This album definitely grew on me. I hated this project at first and didn't want anything to do with it. Now I look at it as a an average pop radio hit album with nothing different than the definition of a album full of catchy pop songs. This could be better but what are you going to do at this point.
