Very solid max martin pop album, maybe a little too bloated but it's a fun time
I'm so obsessed with the album, it's to me what brat was to the gays back in 2024
Amazing record. Gotta listen to it a few more times but the emotional story telling and production on this album is incredible. Raye really knows how to make an album when all the new artists of today are just making songs. Escapism, ice cream man, black mascara, hard out here, and buss it down are all highlights. Probably one of my favorite albums of all time
Have to give it a second listen later because I was too tired to enjoy it well. But I enjoyed the production and some of the songs, especially the run from dramatic to memories of you
Not a complete project but I enjoyed the production more than her first full length album
Have to give it another listen later but I loved the crazy hyperpop production and the unique sounds on this album.
Not offensive but also nothing revolutionary. Probably could give it another try at some point but there's just better music out there
Listened once and liked it. Not necessarily a Britney fan but if I returned to it I might like it more
Not really for me but there were some good songs, namely So Easy To Fall In Love and Man I Need
Was hesitant to listen to this one because of the mixed reactions and pretentiousness surrounding it (similar to the die hard brat stans), but it's actually an amazing album. It's very sonically consistent, an experimental 2000s style pop album, reminds me of Britney. High Fashion, Diet Pepsi, and Summer Forever are some of the best pop songs of the decade.
I liked it well enough at first listen but it was definitely too long for someone who isn't necessarily a fan. Nor enough upbeat bangers for my taste. Parachute and Glum are great
Fresh and Breakaway are amazing. Unbreakable is solid. The rest was pretty cliche and passable but not offensive or bad. Lots of builds that didn't go anywhere tragically
I've mostly just returned to the same few songs every listen but they're really great. Frequency, Let You Go, and Sorry to myself are just so catchy and well produced. Little Bit and Ghost are the other two I enjoy a lot. The two pre-released singles were okay but frequency is a much better song. Never listened to a demi album before but it doesn't feel as derivative of brat as I thought it would before I listened.
I originally gave this a 100 to combat the hate because a lot of it was unfair (which I still agree with) but this album is so inconsistent and Taylor's worst since lover easily. Tracks 1, 2, 4, and 6 are probably some of Taylor's best. Eldest daughter on the other hand is Taylor's worst song since the lover album. There's so many concepts on this album that are good, as well as some amazing instrumentals, but are ruined or at least hurt by the cringe lyrics (wood, eldest ... read more
This 2019 hyperpop album was certainly a rollercoaster of sounds, some of which do not belong in a song, but somehow work. Like, I cannot explain how this album sounds good, but it really does. The hooks are super catchy, and the chaotic messes of sounds really hold the thing together in its own way. Super experimental, but I'd say with the exception of track 4, it is executed really well.
