A project that manages to surpass Ramona in certain aspects. Packed with emotion and masterfully crafted, its roughly 50 minute run feels like a journey through your own lifetime.
Had me jumping around my room one moment and then on the floor in tears the next. Near Ramona levels of quality with this album.
I first became aware of this album in high school after my friend told me to check it out. And thank the stars I did. You can find something valuable in every track here, and nothing feels redundant or weak. Being as I still have almost the whole memorized after all these years, I'd say it stands the test of time.
In this behemoth of an album, Gojira strikes again with the genius that is The Way of All Flesh. This work of art displays exceptional technical proficiency, breathing life into a theme about death. Many of the songs start with such ferocity that blows you away, and reeling you back in when their second halves begin, just to blow you away once again. A truly amazing project.
