This is really interesting to see how Slayr progressed in less than a year, it’s almost unrecognisable compared to his more recent highly acclaimed rage album. But you can really see where it’s all come from, you’ve got his signature transitions but they were a bit watered down. First half was really good, maybe you could say the features carried, but second half the production slows down and his songwriting was not as convincing.
I had obviously heard half the songs before because I’m not an uncultured swine, but I was very happy to hear that the sound was kept as consistent as the songs I’d heard. Some of the best rhythms I’ve heard throughout and the level is really high throughout.
