The last half of this album is utterly beautiful - Give Up the Ghost is easily one of Radiohead's most beautiful tracks - but the first half is quite dull and its brilliant moments are muddled by the mix. The Basement performance does those songs justice. Had they only released that iteration of this album, this record would certainly be in the middle-to-upper echelon of Radiohead's discography.
Perhaps King Gizzard's most beautiful album? A lot of the grooves here are super pretty and sweet. The Dripping Tap is absolutely killer.
Lots of fun. I wish it were more accessible.
