Less successful is 'Flow Motion' which jettisons the rock again for a more quirky approach, with the calypso tones of 'Cascade Waltz' and reggae riddums of 'Laugh Til You Cry...' working surprisingly well but falling short of the band's most vital work.
Sure the slow tempos can drag over 38 minutes, but 'Flow Motion' is no disaster - though I'm not sure this album would have demanded much attention at all without carrying the band's established name, NR
This album suffers from a severe lack of creativity. Here, Can don’t feel like the Great and Powerful Can, making innovative and forward thinking music, they’re just another psychedelic jam rock band. The music here is fun, don’t get me wrong, but it was all previously done by a million different artists, including Can.
