"For some reason I didn't quite connect with "Why Don't You Eat Carrots?" But the other two songs are insane in the best way possible. This album is must hear if you enjoy experimental albums that aren't afraid to go to weird places.

The album just got better the further down the rabbit hole you ventured. So hold on tight cause the journey this one takes you is a wild one!"

Faust on this album sound super familiar to the velvet underground Avant garde era however they push it even farther. The focus of the VU was to create Avant-garde compositions to enhance what Lou Reed was singing about. However in Faust there is no Lou Reed. So it is more minimalistic with its vocals and songwriting and completely abandons pop structures. Faust's second album is less cacophonous and therefore more "commercial" than the first. The album was more playful than its predecessor. Despite this, the song 'Mamie is blue' with its grating guitar loop went straight to the spine.
