Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers
98

Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is an album that I can already see, meaning a lot to me. Now, this may be the lowest rated out of all my ratings for Kendrick's projects (Wow I really do like this guy), but that doesn't mean that I would say something like "Definitely my least favorite one.", oh NO. If anything, this could easily grow on me more. The reason I didn't give it a 100, is because I've definitely seen other albums even from Kendrick where it feels like they dig deep on who ... read more

HELP PLEASE THEY DRAGGED ME DOWN WITH THEM, AND NOW I'M FORCED TO LISTEN TO BRAT UNTIL I'M DEAD! SEND HELP!!!

So I actually really did have to force myself to listen to this. I wanted to listen to it but at the same time, I've been really lazy today, and just didn't feel like doing anything. But hey I forced myself to do it. Even had to join the temporary cult this morning that's probably gonna die in a couple of days so now I HAVE to listen to the album. I sure am glad that I did.

Mei Semones - Kabutomushi

I just needed something short to listen to cause I was in a reviewing mood even though it's like 11 AM right now and I've only been up for an hour, so here we are.

This was a pleasant, short and sweet EP that had a lot of things going for it. Honestly, I could go for listening to more of Mei's music if it's this soothing. The collection of songs all focus around love and it's very cute. Nothing too crazy other than the flex of using the Japanese language which was nice. The production is great ... read more

I wanna believe this is just some bad AI. It's not unfortunately... Actually no, it's fortunately actually Drake on here.

How do I start this review? I actually don't know. I was gonna joke around and make a "Don't play this around the homies." joke, but uh. I would actually play some of this on the aux ngl. You know what doesn't matter, I may or may not have gotten your attention by now, and you came down here to the "recent user reviews" section to find a review right? Here ya go, because this may actually be one of my favorite albums of all time now.

Ya know that meme where Lebron is ... read more

Concrete Castles - Last Structures of Dreams

Before I actually say anything about the album, I just wanna thank @ConcreteCastles so much for recommending their own work to me. It's an honor to listen to someone's own work from here. I'll try my best to give my thoughts on the album.

So this is like my first chiptune album. I play video games so of course I've heard it, and I do love it there, but I've never listened to songs from this genre that aren't based on the context of a game level or something so this is new for sure. This was a ... read more

宇多田ヒカル [Hikaru Utada] - Exodus

I never even heard of Hikari, but a couple of days ago, I saw a video just being a compilation of some of the rather odd stuff she's said in her English music. I found it so humorous that I just had to listen to one of these albums. I couldn't help, but bop to the snippets in the video so I actually came into this album knowing it was going to be dumb fun, but I'm still pleasantly surprised. THIS IS A BANGER!!!

The album is all over the place which allows for twists and turns. It's not ... read more

Bring Me The Horizon - POST HUMAN: NeX GEn

Definitely one of if not the most edgiest things I've listened to so far in my life. That's not a bad thing. Well kind of.

I've been procrastinating with listening to a BMTH album, but today that changes! By listening to something that's more experimental from them. Couldn't hurt too bad. I mean I've already listened to Can You Feel My Heart like way too many times. I love everything about that song, so I definitely have some sort of idea on what to expect. And I think I got what I wanted. I ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.
100

I don't even know if I should be giving this a 100 but here goes.

Kendrick is one of the biggest rappers of today, and for good reason. Cause the guy knows how to speak his talk, and does it over some greatly produced beats, while talking about many deep things such as racial issues, and his own personal struggles through his life. I have a lot of respect for the man. With all of the beef between him and Drake, it reminded me that I should probably listen to his other albums. To Pimp a ... read more

Deftones - Deftones

Oh boy it's time to talk about Deftones again!

Now let's get the obvious out of the way. No, this is not as good as ATF, WP, or KNY, the other albums I've listened to from Deftones. I think those albums were masters with their craft and the idea of them, and this one doesn't feel as focused. Now that that's out of the way.

I LOVE THIS ALBUM!! Forget what I said, even if this is my least favorite from them so far. what does that mean to me, when it's DEFTONES!! Probably one of my favorite ... read more

Skrillex - Don't Get Too Close

I think this along with Quest for Fire are the first albums or even songs that I had hype and anticipation for when it came to music. I remember being told while casually talking in Discord, that Skrillex dropped 2 new albums, and I was still pretty new to music so I didn't really know too much about Skrillex outside of a couple of his early stuff that everyone knows him for. So I listened to Quest for Fire first and loved it, then I listened to this, and I honestly forgot my feelings on it. I ... read more

ian - Valedictorian

I honestly don’t really know how to feel about this. It just sounds very safe and generic to me for trap. Respect to Ian of course but he legit for the most part sounds like he’s rapping in the same way on all of these songs. The beats themselves are either solid for me or just pretty forgettable. My favorite was probably Bentayga and maybe Figure it Out, but yeah I don’t think I’ll be listening to most of these songs. I think if Ian tried something new to sound a little ... read more

The Bille Journey (3/3)

Phew, I made it. Ya know what's funny? You'd think listening to the same pop artist with 3 albums would be torture, but that was the complete opposite. I had a lot of fun with all 3 of these albums. Even if it does get a little tiring now that I think about. Now it's time for the big finale with what was just released by her today.

I think that she's actually reached her peak and style right here. Everything about this from the theming, to Finneas's amazing production, ... read more

The Billie Journey (2/3)

2 albums in and I think this one is great as well. Honestly for me, I think both of these 2 albums have things that could make me prefer one over the other, but I think both are great.

This one to me felt a lot more mature, which makes sense considering she was an actual adult while recording for this one. I can feel that she's gotten better with expressing her emotions and topics through lyrics, because even if that last album was more personal, it definitely felt ... read more

The Billie Journey! (1/3)

So Billie just released a new album, and people seem to love it, and it absolutely delivered apparently. I never listened to Billie actually, and she's like one of the most popular artists out right now, so I did have interest myself. The album coming out right now, honestly just made me decide to hop on right now, so here I am with her debut album, and what a surprise. I actually enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would.

This is a little more somber feeling, ... read more

I wonder what she got a nosebleed from? Probably from how good this music is, because WOWIE WHISKERS (I'm sorry...) THIS IS REALLY GOOD!!

Album of the year I must thank you for randomly gracing me with good music. I don't know why, but every time I end up listening to music from Japan, it's like really good. I'm not even saying that as like an anime guy, I mean like I could literally play anything from like a popular J-Rock band and it'll sound good even with the language barrier. WHAT A RIPOFF!! THIS ISN'T DEATH METAL, THIS IS SAD BOY MUSIC!

So I never heard of these guys, but it was in my recommended and I'm a nerd so I got attracted to the cover. That, and the fact that it's from 2000 (Well the demo at least.) that truly peaked my interest.

The demo has 4 songs but this reissue has 7 along with 4 remixes, but I didn't listen to those, because well... I got things to do, imma be real, but what was here was really well done. This sounds like it's from the future with ... read more

WE ARE SO BACK!!

OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY (I almost said ho) FINALLY! I LISTENED TO MORE BJORK! If you couldn't tell already, I'm absolutely thrilled to talk about this. I've always been that way with Bjork, but now that I've made it to what seems to be her most critically acclaimed album. I'M SO PUMPED! AND OF COURSE I AM BECAUSE THIS GOES SO HARD!!!

I just wanna thank @Aiysheff2 for recommending this. I have no idea who this is, but hey, couldn't hurt to try them out.

And it sure didn't. Never listened to Turkish pop for a second, but this definitely makes me wanna try it out more. I decided to pick this one just cause it's got electro and dance pop so I knew I'd probably be more interested.

For being made in 1991, it sounds great still, and her voice reminds me a lot of Bjork. So amazing basically. I don't even know what she's saying, ... read more

Alright, so. I still remember this distinct memory from like a year ago. I was eating at a really good burger place, and all of a sudden Honey from this album came on, and I couldn't help but love the song. From that moment when I shazam'd the song and learned about it, I've adored the song ever since.

Now here I am finally listening to the album it came from. And boy oh boy, I found a winner. Thank you to that burger place that I unfortunately forgot about (Seriously, I'm still upset I forgot ... read more
