I don’t know who pissed off the Melvins in 1999, but it was definitely somebody. First of all, you can’t make an album this heavy without being angry, and second of all, they somehow managed to make an amazing album just to partially ruin it with the absolutely retarded track listing. This is an awesome album album with awesome songs. My main problem with it is that it feels like it’s over before it even starts like after the absolutely incredible flipper cover Sacrifice you have three very short songs that just don’t give off an impact this album is very underrated for its influence but overall it’s just OK
A nearly flawless album from start to finish, there are a few tracks that hold it back from being a true 10 out of 10. That doesn’t change the fact that this is an incredible work of art that deserves its place as one of the greatest of all time. It’s beautiful, depressing, and it has all the flavors that makes Radiohead such an influential and awesome band.
