What an uninspired, soulless album. Anyone who listened to Crystal Lake's discography understands what these musicians are capable of and will feel disappointed upon listening to "The Weight of Sound". The new vocalist has no range, all his screams sound exactly the same, and he is incapable of creating interesting verses, much less singing catchy choruses. This is metalcore at its peak in the year of our lord 2025 (I'm an atheist btw). The raw energy, the chaos, the changes, the vocals, everything just packs a punch directly into the listener's face. Even the title and the cover go super hard. I love every inch of this. These guys know what they are doing.
