His voice is less obnoxious here, the writing remains pretty poor. Ive revisited this record a dozen times trying my hardest to like it more. And now I actually do. This is less chaotic and brash than kenopsia which is what I liked in the first place but the variety of sound in this album while keeping the vibe in that noisy moody place is really impressive. A couple duds but as a whole there is a lot here and most of it works

I was a fan of his music as a kid and I still think he has some bangers in the discography but this is just some over produced, high budget, label made slop that totally abandons his original message of making it big in the industry without loads of money and connections. some actually cool songs, some mediocre shit, some bad and all of it mixed through a potato. i expect waaay more from at least travis, sofaygo i can understand, but travis? just very dissapointing. travis and don toliver are cool because they actually make good melodies and catchy moments and back it up with creative production. this has the occasional catchy song and even less actual cool beats with all of it just sounding cheap.

At times its actually kinda fun hearing the biebs try to be dijon but most of this album feels half baked or totally dishonest, as in Justin's attempt to come across as a deeper artist after all this time rather than him actually being any more of an artist after all this time.
