UNDEAD CORPORATION - 私はもう死んでいる?
81

Could've had some more variety in sounds throughout the album, but it was still really good.

Uyama Hiroto - Freeform Jazz
91

This is soo good man.

DJ Okawari - High Noon
88

Such a chill EP. Highly recommend if you like relaxing instrumentals.

DJ Okawari - Mirror
90

Really relaxing album, good instrumentals, and the features blend with DJ Okawari's instrumentals perfectly.

DJ Okawari - Perfect Blue

Such a vibey album. I'm a fan of the more jazzy stuff going on on this one.

UNDEAD CORPORATION - 暴君 [Tyrant]
91

Incredibly well done melodic metal album. Mix is good, instrumentals are perfect, especially the drums, they're still really impressive while not drowning out the other instruments too much. I also already knew and loved The Empress and Everything will Freeze, they really are some of the best melodic metal songs I've heard.

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
96

I need to listen to this a couple more times to fully absorb it but this is a reallly good album.

update: I'm not sure how to describe this album other than you just have to listen to it. REALLYYYY fuckin good

The Beatles - With The Beatles
84

Not a great album for Beatles standards but still really enjoyed it. No real stand out tracks but overall they're quite good, except Little Child which doesn't really sit well with the other tracks in the LP imo. Probably one of my least favorite Beatles albums so far, bit of a shame because I like the album cover.

The Beatles - Please Please Me
89

Really good open to The Beatles career, repetitive themes but they're still all good tracks, and Twist and Shout and Love Me Do are classic tracks. Great album overall, far different from their later stuff though

Will Wood & The Tapeworms - SELF-iSH
83

Lots of powerful vocals and instrumentals, nice latin and jazz influences in most tracks, and a really solid intro and ending. Some parts of a couple tracks (Cotard's Solution and Mr. Capgras) I feel had strange mixing choices, making some sections of the band drown out others. Also had some maybe a little excessively repetitive chorus sections. But those are mostly nitpicks, this album is still really interesting and is very well produced.

Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
90

Really good instrumentals, unique samples, good features, overall a really good album. Enjoyed most tracks, POWER and Lost in The World really stood out to me though.

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.
83

I really liked the album and most tracks on it, especially DNA and XXX, but I wasn't a fan of a couple tracks. Kendrick's lyrics and rapping is real good and it saves a lot of the tracks I wouldn't have liked otherwise though.

Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon
100

This was the second album I listened to all the way through, after 72 Seasons, so it's a little biased but MAN is this a phenomenal album. There's a reason the cover art is so iconic. Love everything about this, 0 complaints.

Best tracks: Brain Damage, Eclipse, Breathe (In the Air), and Money
Worst tracks: N/A

Hobo Johnson - The Revenge of Hobo Johnson
12

Uh
It's bad
I can almost faintly see what he's going for with this album, but the execution is impressively bad. Whatever vocal style is going on in this just sounds awkward and bad, the instrumentals are horrendous, the lyrics at least had almost something in a couple songs, but especially on I want to see the World, the lyrics are just in poor taste.

"Best" track was somehow Anton LaVey, worst was I want to see the World and Jordan's House

DJ Okawari & Celeina Ann - Nightfall
90

First time hearing Celeina Ann and her vocals go perfectly with DJ Okawari's upbeat hiphop instrumentals. The instrumental on Twilight is great, the piano in Glitter fits the vocals really well. The rapping on Mesmerize isn't great, but that's the only track I have complaints on. Big fan of this album.

Lil Uzi Vert - Pink Tape
46

Wasn't a fan of many of the tracks on this album. Shardai is not good at all, and CS is just terrible, has a lot of just bad instrumental sections that go on for way too long. But, x2, Fire Alarm and Days Come and Go are actually really good, especially liked Days Come and Go. The metal stuff is kind of cool, but I don't think The End works very well with the rest of the album, it's a bit too different from the rest. Very mixed on this overall.

The Beatles - Help!
95

Loved this album, loved every track, especially The Night Before, the upbeat instrumental goes really nice with the vocals, and Yesterday is a classic acoustic song.

Dave Brubeck - Dave Brubeck Octet
97

Real nice jazz album, really liked I Hear A Rhapsody, didn't really have any complaints

Foo Fighters - The Colour and the Shape
99

The instrumentals are great, and Dave Grohl's singing is perfect for the genre. I love the powerfulness of a lot of the tracks, especially a fan of My Hero and February Stars. Not a track on here that I have complaints with.

On homuli's review of Casiopea - TRUE BLUE
"all love bro but jazz fusion is not always about constant improvisation (if you want that just look at miles davis and similar artists), but when it comes to this style of jazz fusion the "jazz" comes from the complex harmonies, structure and improvised solos, not necessarily improvisation through the main themes of each piece. i don't think its as good as casiopeas other work but to even claim that casiopea in general is soulless is absurd considering the immense virtuosity of the earlier lineups; tears of the star is one of the most heart wrenching instrumentals ever recorded, and fightman from the casiopea vs t-square concert is full of personality and powerful energy. thats my 2 cents tho"
