Since Goo was released on 1990 there was already bands that take inspiration from sonic youth, even one year before Goo came out nirvana already exists, so the style that made sonic youth special was more normal to use. Sonic youth starts the 90s with probably their top 2 on their discography, Daydream Nation was a masterpiece on every sense and the band left a very high flag but Goo some how it's still as amazing as their past one.
