Vince delivers in this intelligent and flexible project. The apparent use of guitars and others instruments is not only new but also one of the big x-factors for the sticky flow and lyrics, contributing to rhythms that are often packed with emotion and melodically full of essence and fun. The different stories it portrays about America is genius, some portrayals being masterfully crafted and written; so be it in choruses or quick verses. Although flawed in one or two songs, it’s still a ... read more
I like the political aspect of it, but vocally it still lacks a little. The production is catchy and captivating though.
A masterpiece of modern rap. So visionary, multicultural and socially conscious. The lyrics are boundary-breaking and hopeful, being able to not only represent Simz’s culture but also traverse in a captivating way through visionary stories, using masterfully of her unmatched voice. The production is so beautiful and honest, including huge diversity not only beat-wise but also instrumentally. The samples are so fun and varied, also I love the Brazil one. In general, this album is one of ... read more
Sweet, introspective, profound..a lot of words can be used to describe this train express of diverse feelings, this record is intriguing and so creatively developed. Additionally, it has masterfully crafted instrumentals, complex and heartfelt lyrics, energetic melodies and a smooth nature vocally. Each song has its way of making you wonder or relate to her. In general, this album is really entertaining and intelligent, so many wit and talent in this indie adventure. Also “Impostor ... read more
Masterfully crafted, very versatile and creative and definitely thrillingly fun. The lyricism is exceptional, blending very well with the one of a kind production and beats. The slight downside of the album is when it’s way too simple, losing its charm, especially rhythmically. In general, I love the surrealistic feel of it and Matt and Mica’s different sounds, the unique adventures it provides is stunning and very satisfying.
A simple but entertaining record. Uzi’s rapping is really much the same, still sticky and fun though. The production is really diverse, with some quirky, but compelling samples and sound effects. Moreover, the tone is appealing, contributing to an enjoyable and engaging, if somewhat superficial aesthetic. There are some filler songs that if cut out, would’ve made the experience eventually better. As a whole, it’s more of the same Uzi sound, but its repetitiveness doesn’t ... read more
With her latest work, Clairo maintains her intelligent and innocent lyricism, but still lacks just a little touch of more depth vocally. The songs are still heartwarming, nifty and fun in general. Furthermore, the production has a lot of quality, with a lot of details and soft instrumental sounds. Still fresh and interesting, this album has its own distinct tone and feel. Even though I think a faster, more crafted hit song would’ve made it better, it’s still very fine as chill as ... read more
So soothing, beautiful and pure. Incredibly sweet and emotion-filled lyrics. I love the feel-good aspects, even if their just simple instruments or voiceovers. So many lovely and talented moments, with different tones and pitches of Claire’s beautiful vocals. In general, it’s an excellent heartfelt experience, with one of the most masterfully crafted lyricism and composure I’ve listened to recently.
A quirky and fun album, even the skips are enjoyable. While repetitive in some songs, it’s still a steady and creative sound.
Executed simply, but well. It’s satisfying, fun, and very enjoyable. Vince’s flow is very charming, energetic and diverse throughout the different sounds of this album. The lyrics are very nice and just feel naturally connected to the beats, being full of depth and personality.
I love the lyrics, the rhythm is so fun, and the chorus is just so sticky and compelling.
Incredible album, JPEG keeps his recent consistency, surprising my expectations, with all of the singles also growing on me. As the title implies it varies from very experimental and insteresting sounds ( like dubstep ), to chiller and more formally sounding songs. Peggy goes all in on almost all of the songs. The beats and samples hit hard, with emphasis on that in “ Lights “. The screams, bass and other well-timed experimental production elements stick together with the vocals ... read more
Very nifty album, but a little overwhelming as it unfolds. I like the psychedelic feel and lyrics provided, but the production gets unstable in some solo songs. Although it’s very resonating and creatively composed, it’s still a little flawed and flat-toned in its last songs. Additionally, the features are particularly responsible for its standout moments and tracks, with some joyful silly moments and a lot of personality. It’s a fun album, filled with softly spoken verses, ... read more
Its very fun. The lyrical ideas are very well executed, with the beats and features sticking together. A few songs are okay, and the others are mostly solid to great. Even thought it can sound like a repetitive sound, or just a formula we’ve seen a lot already, I really think it’s divergent from that. Furthermore, Don’s voice is a little familiar to Travis, but they still sound very different when in a song together.
Well thought ideas, organized productions and enjoyable moments. A very fast-paced and thrilling experience, with some ambiguous contrasts. The concepts and the features combine well with the melodic sound. In general it’s a fun time with a lot of personality and creativity throughout the atmospheric tone and composition.
This is just a messy and one sided album, Drake continues using his usually weird and embarrassing sexual lyricism. The production is just impossible to like, so bland and repetitive. Some features are just pure garbage and Drake using accents for them is just so gross and unnecessary. A lot of moments are scummy and immeasurably cringe. Just bad in all aspects, also, poor mom, imagine having your face showed in this incredibly bad project.
