Whilst Freddie brings it like usual, You Only Die 1nce doesn’t deliver anything new or notable to the table. Great songs and highly relisten-able, but perhaps a little dull when stacked against Alfredo.
Origami, Cosmo Freestyle and Walk it Off are stand outs for me.
One of the most consistent and catchy rap projects of the 2020s so far.
The Alchemist is such a legendary producer. The way he samples and keeps the production so fresh and innovative is practically unmatched. And this combo is meant to be, Gibbs does not disappoint for a second either bringing consistently amazing rap performances on each song.
I feel like it is actively difficult to dislike this music.
Was reminded of this album today when I brought it up to my friend, and thought it was mental I hadn’t posted a review.
Cross is one of the most godly electronic albums of all time.
Genre defining, hall of fame work.
Justice are easily one of the most important electronic music artists to ever do it. Whilst their other stuff is great, Cross is a flawless masterpiece.
Justice just make it sound so EASY, and anyone that has tried to innovate in music production can of course tell you ... read more
An emotional, theatrical work of genius.
Absolutely a must listen, and a sonic journey. I’m not a fan of musicals, but this may be the best musical I’ve ever heard.
Despite BCNR reinventing themselves brilliantly with their new work, Isaac Wood is sorely missed and this is definitely their best work in my eyes. So much emotion poured into this music manifests in an immersive listen you can’t take your focus off of for a second.
This is what music means
It was nice to listen to a strict country album, one that wasn’t a fusion with rock or pop elements.
Just a man and his guitar, driven by some clear emotional turmoil and some amazing songwriting skills.
Even though country isn’t really my bag, I very much enjoyed this!
Appropriately rated
Tyler’s best work and a generational album for experimental hip hop and R&B
Are we still friends may be one of my favourite songs of all time, and in the context of a full album listen it sounds even better
Bowies biggest masterpiece in a career of masterpieces.
Easily easily one of my favourite albums of all time, and one that has shaped a lot of my taste throughout my life. Bowie delivers an otherworldly but still intensely human sound that I feel is a must hear for every person at least once.
Pop rock would be fundamentally different today had this album never released.
An album that I probably overrate for nostalgia reasons? (At least I’m honest)
Bowie was one of the prevailing sounds of my childhood, with this being one of the niche albums that I particularly liked from him.
A flawed but interesting experimental record with some very high highs and some fairly boring lows. Even with all the relative hate this album gets you HAVE to admit that Hallo Spaceboy and I’m Deranged are great songs.
A great album, but no where near as revolutionary as people made it out to be
You guys should listen to more Daft Punk
Angel descended from heaven and effortlessly drops one of the most ethereally beautiful albums ever made
Indigo is gorgeous, rest is quite forgettable.
Pretty unimaginative for a 13 minute runtime, but Indigo really is very very good.
Mind blowing
Dreamt up by a multi intrumentalist with an immensely deep understanding of music, then brought into reality.
If there was any doubt that Black Midis Greep could thrive on his own, The New Sound proves it was unfounded.
This album is an absolute adventure, intricately crafted and fine tuned to provide an unforgettable listening experience.
I think this will be a monumental album of the 2020s, looked back on in decades to come as a classic of the jazz/prog rock ... read more
