I feel like it’s underrated how consistently great this album is. Every single song nails exactly the vibe it’s going for, the features are unreal, and the album comes together really well.
Metro is a generational producer and a masterful album crafter.
Consistently one of my most favoured comfort albums, but even taking away my bias this is undeniably a beautiful piece of art.
Every time I listen I find more and more things to love.
For my 100th review I wanted to review a 100 album, and this came to mind pretty quick. Probably a strong indicator!
Of the 4 self titled albums this stands as the clear winner, even when the others are also unreal.
Killer Mike and EI-P are both very talented in their own right, but the two have such insane chemistry together.
While I think Love Again is a bit of a low point on the tracklist, overall I think it makes up for it with the rest and it doesn’t detract from my rating.

Undeniably funky and filled with bangers
My first front to back Jamiroquai listen in years and it was good to see my enjoyment of them wasn’t purely nostalgia.
This is a great record, and I’m gonna dive deeper now so expect some more reviews soon.
One of the easier casual Death Grips listens, but still wildly experimental and flawless in its execution.
A word I could use to describe this album is hungry. An assault on the ears that never ever pulls its punches. Without a young introduction to Death Grips I may have never ended up with such an eclectic taste in music, and I have to thank this album for being the catalyst of that introduction.
A gorgeous indie rock album filled with personality and a strong sense of yearning. Mitski is a poet and this album proves it.
Francis Forever and Jobless Monday are some of the most incredible tracks of the 2010s for me.
A fun entertaining listen for fans.
Interesting to hear the tracks performed, and given more energy at times.
This is a very tough album to talk about for me, as I relate it so strongly to my late grandad who adored ELO. While Eldorado may have not been his favourite, the story and tone of this album means I just can’t help but assign him as the protagonist in my head.
A beautiful, terrifying LP that sinks its musical claws in and drags you down to a place where you laugh, cry and grapple with mortality.
The fact Jeff can just slip in catchy pop tracks within this deeply gripping story, and ... read more
Not quite as mind blowing as Jubilee for me, but I love the direction this album has been taken. To say a drop in quality would be a lie, but instead a tonal shift that lands for me in a different way.
Michelle Zauner proves here that she will not be boxed in with the sound and tone of Jubilee. Where Jubilee was beautiful and heartwarming, this album is very true to its name.
As a melancholy brunette myself I was definitely catered to. It’s sad and vulnerable, while still retaining the ... read more
Just felt quite unimaginative and dull. Cosy definitely! And I give the album points for the fact that it is never ever an unpleasant listen. There’s some cool ideas here, but as a full album it’s just not it.
Rosie and backseat 30 are amazing individual songs and i’m sure i’ll revisit them in the future a fair amount.
Experimental hip hop will never be the same
One of my favourites from 2024, ILDMLFY is exciting and fun front to back.
While it not be my favourite peggy album, I really like the direction he’s gone here and hope he can take it even further on the next album
Bro sampled Succession
I do like this album but i’m glad they switched lanes to their new sound.
The features are also a little odd and don’t fully fit on the tracks they’re on.
Overall just not great, and vastly out shadowed by everything they’ve made since.
Inhumanly creative, catches you off guard moment to moment with some of the most unbelievable production decisions of all time.
I mean come on, it’s a collab album from two of the most talented experimental hip hop artists of the 21st century.
Imbued with all the attitude of peggy and all the weird of danny, Scaring the Hoes pulls no punches for its listeners. If you listen to this and don’t AT LEAST think it’s creatively interesting, you may need to revisit your open ... read more
Just a joy to listen to. The sound that this album pioneered has become one of the most copied and attempted of the last 30 years.
I heavily lean towards Discovery, Alive or RAM if i’m craving listening to some Daft Punk but this was still a very important album of my formative years.
In an oversaturated genre HAIM still manages to deliver a jam packed tracklist of emotionally driven tunes.
This feels like an intimate look at the lives of the band, it takes you to a dark place but keeps you hopefully invested due to the personality that the album is packed full of.
I’m sorry but it’s just a bit corny. Generic lyrics, bloated undeserved runtime, nothing special.
Feels like with a proper budget for sampling and whatnot Pippotchi could deliver something quite special but unfortunately this fell almost completely flat for me.
