I'm a little embarrassed I like this album as much as I do. This album has been a long time in the making but often doesn't feel as groundbreaking as I hoped. SZA is consistent, you gotta give her that. If it truly is her farewell album, I think it accomplishes what she set out to do, every song explores feelings we can all relate to backed by catchy beats and melodies. Despite the fact that I discovered this album through a podcast, I feel like Say Sue Me is such a hidden gem. Any indie fan will be comfortable with this album, willingly greeted by predictable, but great guitar riffs and supplemental melodies. One of the best upbeat albums to be the soundtrack of a mental breakdown. This is a group to watch for sure :)

One of my favorite albums of 2022. I remember listening to MUNA back in high school and being a fan, but ultimately feeling like their style was being suppressed. When they were freed from the confines of RCA and signed with SaddestFactory Records, they truly became what they were always destined to be. This self-titled album is MUNA's ticket to well-deserved stardom.

I didn't like this album upon the first listen, but then a few months later I found myself singing it in my head. I don't think Charlie Hickey is for everyone, but his unique vocal style, catchy choruses, and the almost hyper-self-awareness in his lyrics are certainly entertaining. I'm excited to see what he does next.
