Such a different vibe and sound for Ariana, loving this experimentation.
Ariana is basically saying she's done apologizing for being wanted, and the bridge makes that pretty clear. "You studied my crown and borrowed my body," captures what it feels like when someone falls for a version of you they've created in their mind. Solid single to pique my interest in what's next.
I may have been a little too harsh on this album. Dade County Dreaming has grown on me specifically (don't flame me).
Stumbled upon this song and really enjoyed it!
Lolahol (Lola Leon on Spotify) does a good job putting into words the feeling of being drawn to someone even when you know you shouldn't be. The lyrics stay messy and unresolved on purpose, and it works. I can also hear the Imogen Heap vibes, and I love it.
