Silk Sonic - An Evening With Silk Sonic

An insane collaboration between two talented artists. If you haven't grooved to this then what are you doing!

top 3: Smokin Out The Window, Leave The Door Open, Fly As Me

Bruno Mars - 24K Magic

24K Magic is just a really fun time.

top 3: 24K Magic, Versace on the Floor, Too Good To Say Goodbye

Bruno Mars - Unorthodox Jukebox
75

Unorthodox Jukebox, while certainly an improvement over Doo Wops, is still far from perfect. "Locked Out of Heaven" and "Treasure" are two of the greatest pop hits of the 2010's without question. The songwriting is still very questionable, shown on tracks like "Gorilla" and "Natalie", though other aspects make the songs work. The final stretch is pretty rough.

top 3: Locked Out of Heaven, Treasure, Moonshine

Bruno Mars - Doo-Wops & Hooligans

Bruno Mars debut album is filled with pop 2010's hits and childhood classics. Overall, it's a bit mid, though I enjoyed it more than I didn't. The majority of the album is just samey pop though.

Baby Keem - Ca$ino

EDIT: Ca$ino keeps growing on me and is now up to an 80

after a few more listens, I can conclude that this a better album than the melodic blue (not by much though). tracks like Ca$ino and birds & the bees have grown on me, and I think every style fits in well. however, I still dislike good flirts. it's just so boring until kendrick's verse, which is laughably terrible. however, if this is kendrick's wah gwan delilah or grippy, it's easily the least bad out of those. Baby Keem - The Melodic Blue
73

just listened to ca$ino in the live stream listening party thing. it's crazy how much keem has changed in the 4 and a half years between this and ca$ino. The Melodic Blue is a very fun album which has a mix of very strong and very weak tracks. family ties is obviously amazing, but the one-two punch of south africa and lost souls was a chore. it all evens out to a solid showcase of potential.

Travis Scott - ASTROWORLD

tracks 1-9. it starts with STARGAZING, an opening track that puts you in a state where you stop what you're doing, close your eyes, and listen to the magic. along the way, you have the bangers of SICKO MODE and NO BYSTANDERS as well as the masterpiece of SKELETONS. I can't forget the best track on the album, STOP TRYING TO BE GOD. that harmonica still gives me chills. it ends with 5% TINT, a track that makes me float every time I listen to it. the rest of the album is a lot weaker. ... read more

lowk should've been on the fall-off

A$AP Rocky - Don't Be Dumb

a very interesting experience with a lot of fun tracks and some experimental moments, some of which i enjoyed more than others.

favs: PUNK ROCKY, DON'T BE DUMB / TRIP BABY, HELICOPTER, STOLE YA FLOW, STAY HERE 4 LIFE

Don Toliver - OCTANE

solid album, though it doesn't do much other than be a vibe. e85 had me floating, but the rest of the album was mostly just fine, nothing special. the features were also mostly okay, nothing special. there were a few boring parts as well. also, i just know some of these tracks like body (which i kinda liked actually) are going to be abused on tiktok.

favs: E85, OPPOSITE, ATM, Gemstone, Secondhand
