It does feel bloated with ideas that don't differ from other songs on the record. Most the album released as the singles but I held off due to the high output of them and liked some surprises of the release but damn like 12 songs released before the album is crazy.
I like it enough to go back but it doesn't quite have the highs the other records have especially Acne Superstar for me. It feels more positive which is cool but emotionally, it doesn't compell as much.

It's so different and has more of that Thornhill influence into the sound but it is a nice change that has some great hooks and the synths aren't obnoxiously omnipresent so they occur at the right time without over staying its welcome. As someone who loved People Watching, I'm glad they are experimenting so we don't just get a sequel following onwards.
This EP is incredible and one of the most engaging projects from the band so far. While Sellout isn't that great, the rest of the songs hit with some of the bands best instrumentals, vocals and writing. I love the heavier edge this EP has and excited for Side Effects Pt. 2!
I don't want to sound harsh here because I love this band and have seen them twice live. Their first two albums are quite enjoyable and have some fun post-hardcore/metalcore edge to them but I feel this album is where the ideas fall flat.

It feels like it takes aspects of the last few records and gives us their most polished work since The Mindsweep. It's full of life and wonder and manages to step foot into some heavier waters with a few songs. Definitely a step up from A Kiss For The Whole World and I quite enjoyed that album.
