The Beach Boys - Surf's Up

My personal favorite Beach Boys album.

The final 3 tracks are such an incredible run, the best tracks Brian Wilson wrote in his entire career in my opinion. Reflective of what Brian was experiencing at the time, they rip your heart out and shatter it into a million pieces. And I love it.

An absolute enigma of an album that shouldn't work, but it does.

Love You is pure, unadulterated Brian Wilson. The lyrics, while cheesy, dated and, at times, creepy, are pure fun. This album has no right being this good god damn. Very excited to see what he cooks up next.

This is absolutely some of their best work yet, it ... read more

Foster the People - Lost in Space

After a lengthy hiatus, Foster the People returned. And I couldn't be happier with what we got. This is a new sound for the group, and while the depth of the lyrics seems to have taken a hit, their sound certainly has not. A fun song with interesting production that I can listen to again and again.
