They really took full advantage of the CD rom tech of the era for this ost, I mean it’s called Sonic CD for a reason. This is up there with Rondo of Blood for highest quality retro game soundtracks, and is one of the most influential game soundtrack of all time.

(Just based on the first side) This ost fucking rocks. The act ones are metal as all hell and the act twos lean into a more melodic, groovy, and sometimes playful tone. This ost is the character of shadow put into music.

Chill asf, listened while doing homework and it helped me lock in. Sampling and atmosphere is immaculate, and now I must watch Samurai Champloo to see what this man and the other brilliant minds on the sound team cooked for that ost.
