For context, this is an essay that I wrote for my Sophomore English class, with the prompt being to write an "Interesting Essay," which is basically something that is interesting to you. I wrote about Blonde because I absolutely adore this album and it really means a lot to me. This essay is personal to me and that was part of the reason why I wrote about Blonde, since the essay was supposed to mean something to ... read more
Here it is folks, the Magical Mystery Tour, featuring special guest... acid!!!
I am shocked that this is rated so highly. This album is easily the bands most disjointed and Sgt. Pepper's does the Psychedelic Pop sound so much better. It just feels like the crazy little brother. The track-list is so bipolar and top heavy with either massive hits or just shitty songs which is something that The Beatles are unlike. They don't really make bad songs but I find 4 different tracks that fit ... read more
Yeah I ain't never heard anything like this before.
Half Blood is super unique and Slayr transforms and mixes dozens of soundscapes and genres to make a really fun and upbeat mixtape. There are tons of highs and lows on this, with the highs being some of the most interesting music I've heard in a while and the lows being slop to be honest. Longest 44 minutes of my life I swear.
For some reason I just really didn't like this as much. I absolutely adore Led Zeppelin IV but this was just not it. The instrumentals were good and the singing was good but some moments and songs were not great in my opinion. Maybe I'm just not in a good mood so I'm gonna cut this review shorter.
I thoroughly enjoyed this listen. Every song is a banger and hits hard, even if some are better than others. There are so many timeless hits on Back in Black, and the dark and gritty atmosphere is great. The instrumentals are fire and they made some of the best Hard Rock ever with this. AC/DC are pioneers of this genre and this is one of the best albums for it. The singing also matches the instrumentals perfectly and is super consistent. There is a reason why this is a classic and it shows why ... read more
This was really, really fucking good.
The atmosphere of the album is easily my favorite part. The upbeat and symphonic instrumentals with Billy Joel's beautiful singing performance gives off such a warm and nostalgic feeling, while still being shocking climactic at times. This vibe makes the best songs absolutely perfect, but also, when not done as well (which is only like two songs), it can really feel fake and "Disney" but honestly that is cherry picking it. DAMN there are some ... read more
