Steve Lacy - Gemini Rights
60

Enjoyed the listen, just not fully my cup of tea. Good album nonetheless, I see the appeal!

Jungle - Volcano
50

It’s fine. Just some music to put on in the background. The vocals are kinda annoying at times, but the instrumentals do their thing. Just a whatever album.

Navy Blue - Sir Render
80

First time listening to a Navy Blue album, and I was really impressed at his lyricism, it felt very therapeutic in a way. I will be revisiting for sure.

Vince Staples - Cry Baby
80

This is exactly the album that needed to be made in today’s world, and I hope it gets the recognition it deserves. This album really feels like it needed to be made and feels like a stamp of where America is at right now.

6LACK - LOVE IS THE NEW GANGSTA
70

It’s chill and I enjoyed it. I think 6LACK is a better feature artist than solo work, but that’s not to discredit this project. Overall very content with this.

Imani Imani - Papercut
60

Solid debut album, I am interested to hear how on earth she ended up with pglang with no published music prior to this. She’s got a great voice but there wasn’t anything that stood out too much on this debut (which is fine). Very SZA sounding at times.

Roc Marciano - 656
50

First Roc Marciano project I've listened to. He is rapping, but man, most of the production is a bit sleep-inducing. It's a fine album though.

JPEGMAFIA - EXPERIMENTAL RAP
30

I wasn't much of a JPEG fan going into this album, and it sure as hell didn't make me a fan with this one.

Westside Gunn - And Then You Pray For Me
60

So much quality whiplash. There are some absolutely perfect songs to pull from this album, but I won't listen to the entire thing through again.

Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist - Alfredo
90

Near perfect album. Production is insane and Freddie sounds super hungry. The features do their thing too.

Freddie Gibbs - $oul $old $eparately
70

Another extremely solid album in Freddie's catalogue. Some standouts, but nothing mind-blowing I think.

Kenny Mason - BULLDAWG
80

What an awesome album. Kenny got some crazy potential.

Drake - MAID OF HONOUR
20

I thought people were overreacting at first because the first 2 songs weren’t the worst thing ever (still wasn’t good though). And then it went downhill from there. This sucks.

Drake - HABIBTI
40

This is sleep inducing at its best, and an absolute waste of time at its worst.

Drake - ICEMAN
60

There are moments where Drake has great performances but some of the instrumentals feel so lifeless and could have been much better. This album is at its best when Drake is introspective and rapping, not when he's trying to do some gimmick. Overall, I think this album is passable, which is exactly what I expected. Only like 5 songs I'll be revisiting though.

Action Bronson - PLANET FROG
80

I think I entered planet frog.

Young Thug - JEFFERY
60

MONEY LONGER THAN NASCAR RACE

Chance the Rapper - Coloring Book
80

Man this album was so nice to go back and revisit. Seriously a special piece of work. There are a couple of lows that don’t weigh down the tracklist too much, but the highs are absolutely amazing.

Isaiah Rashad - IT'S BEEN AWFUL
70

This is a pretty solid album, but I've never been too crazy for Isaiah's vocal delivery. If you're a Isaiah fan, you're probably pretty happy with this project. I just found it really sleepy and nothing stood out too much. I prefer his other projects I think. Will give this another listen though to make sure I'm not crazy.

Family Junket - Did you tell the bees?
70

Seriously enjoyed this project! Saw the beautiful vinyl pressing for this and wanted to give it a listen, impressed from a band with 350 monthly listeners on Spotify.
