This is basically a blues satire delivered so earnestly that people mistake it as a form of high art. It's not. It's a musical shitpost. That being said, it's also music completely free of any and all restrictions, and that freedom gives the band room to make some of the most imaginative, contorted, and brilliantly absurd music of any period.
Wow, this album is truly a grower... I went from totally not getting it, to enjoying a couple moments but finding it tedious as hell, to now, where I think there isn't a wasted second on the whole album. This album features incredible ambient melodies that are so damn fun to listen to, all hidden beneath these mathematical drum patterns, making for a super relaxing and hypnotic listen. Top notch electronic music. Believe the hype.
