Oh boy, here's a controversial one. A Coldplay album??? Perfect score??? The fuck???
Yes. Okay? Yes. This album is goregous. It's perfect. It's genius. Groundbreaking. All of the above. Is it my favorite Coldplay album? No. But objectively this is the best Coldplay album. There is not one skip on this album, which is rare for the band. From the beautiful choice of sounds in "Life in Technicolor" to the SHOEGAZE track hidden in the second half of ... read more

This album is already melancholic and sad, but once you learn Nick Drake's story, the album hits like a freight train. The simplicity of the sounds presented on the record adds to its impact, in my opinion. Just a man and his guitar singing some of the most beautifully written music of all time.

This album is such a classic embodiment of the late nineties. My ma always used to play her "David Gray: Greatest Hits" CD in the car to and from anywhere we went, and so songs like "Please Forgive Me" and "Babylon" always stuck with me all the way up until I finally recently gave this album a full listen. It's so beautifully intricate in its musicality and direction. Love this album passionately.

Call me basic, I don't care, fuck you... this was really the first album for me where I had the genuine thought of "oh, this is a perfect album" after listening through it once. It's such a fun, and honestly, emotional listen from front to back. There would be a gaping hole in my music taste without this record.

For Emma came to me at a time in my life when I needed it the most. This album is goregous and engaging from front to back and I can't imagine what the landscape of indie music would sound like today without it. I saw Bon Iver live in June of this year and Justin playing "Re: Stacks" was one of the most emotional experiences of my life.
