KA$HDAMI - epiphany

This album was revolutionary for 2021 rap. This inspired hella people to switch their style to his. He is the best rapper of this genre I have heard. The way he can flow effortlessly, he is pretty good lyrically, his beat selection needs to be studied, and he's overall a good rapper. He's been making music as early as 2019 (earliest spotify shows).

Denzel Curry - TA13OO

Lowkey his best work and top 3 trap albums of all time.

Playboi Carti - Whole Lotta Red

Insanely influential. Literally created a whole genre that a lot of artists now use. Whether you like it or not, this album is one of the most influential albums of all time. Went from being hated to being loved.

Playboi Carti - Die Lit

I have no words. Greatest trap album most likely. Insane production, insane features, insane verses from everyone, especially an insane cover. Very influential to the trap genre and very innovative. Smooth beats, hard beats, emotional beats, simple beats, all of them are thrown around in this album, and it works. I feel like there are no bad songs on this album, and is a 100% enjoyable listen every time. If someone wants to get into the trap genre, either Barter 6, Rodeo, or this is recommended ... read more

Ken Carson - A Great Chaos

With great ideas and creativity comes a great album. I feel like this gets too much hate and is actually pretty nice. It sounds nice, it has amazing production on a lot of the songs, the energy is their from start to finish, and honestly has a lot of bangers. Not the best album from the Opium label (Die Lit exists), but still REALLY good. I haven't listened to More Chaos yet, hoping it's not as bad as people say it is.

Chance the Rapper - The Big Day

Honestly questioning why I chose this album to listen to.

REDUX:

God damn I underrated this album so much. What do I have to say? This is a peak emotional album that makes you reflect on your life and think about every decision you have made along the way. Did you like them? It doesn't matter now, you can't change them. It feels as if I am in the state of mind that he WAS in when making this while listening. Every song on here has their own purpose, except for All Mine. It's just gas. Every song (obviously other than All Mine) makes ... read more

JAY-Z - The Blueprint

An absolute staple in the rap genre and is obviously a timeless classic. Giving this record anything under a 95 is a war crime. And it gives plenty of proof of why it is rated as well as it is. Masterpiece

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.

Very consistent, sounds great, and is very replayable, just now rated it on my third listen. This album is very good quality and is for sure a must listen. Examples of great quality come from songs like XXX, Pride, Duckworth, Feel, and Fear. Masterpiece and 100% a timeless classic.

Kendrick Lamar - GNX

This was way too inconsistent and honestly a lot of the tracks just sounded the same. TV Off was just a spitting image of Not Like Us except a little better. I only really mess with a few songs on this record. I know a lot of people will not agree with me, but this is his worst and most overrated album he's ever going to drop.

Lil Scoom89 - Nightmares Over East

I just don't like this album. It was way to repetitive and was dry all the way through. I genuinely would never listen to this again nor recommend this to someone. I'm not giving it a flat 0 just because there were some songs that I could listen to again, but not a lot.

Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d city

One the greatest rap albums of all time and could make a solid argument for the greatest of all time. The production, storytelling, and structure of this album make it easy to understand the music and really get into it. Masterpiece and for sure a timeless classic.

Lil Wayne - Tha Carter IV

updating when i have enough time to fully listen instead of skimming through it

El Cousteau - Words2LiveBy

holds one of the greatest verses of 2024 on it.

Kanye West - Graduation

Really good album, just insanely overrated. Not his best album, but it's top 7.

Earl Sweatshirt - solace

Insanely meaningful and feels like everything he's say is coming from his heart. He clearly wasn't doing well in the making of this EP, but I'm glad he's doing better now.

Yeat - LYFESTYLE

I can't stand this album. Just the same shit on repeat for an hour. Awful Yeat album.

JPEGMAFIA - LP! (Offline Version)
100

JPEGMAFIA really outdid himself with this one. The samples used on each song, the ability he has to flow damn near perfectly on each beat, and his sound fitting in every way. This is an amazing album.

Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

The production on this album will be hard to top, especially for a rap album. The verses for most of these songs on this album are legendary.
