A small step down from their debut LP, but with more certifiable BANGERS - WALK THE MOON owned the 2010s indie pop scene and you won’t convince me otherwise.

NF - FEAR
49

I find this EP does its best when it’s stripped back and raw, but when NF loads in some weird features or his signature deep production FEAR sounds more like an addition to a discography than it does actual art.

If he’s so concerned with being washed up - so much so that he’s gotta write a couple of songs of bad lyrics about it - maybe he needs to step outside his comfort zone and into something….. more easy on the ears.

HOME is definitely the stand out track for ... read more

Everything Everything - Mountainhead (Deluxe)

The addition of Stay With Me is just such an incredible choice - while I think it would work better earlier in the album is definitely enhances the experience as a whole :,)

Fall Out Boy - Take This to Your Grave

A critical project to jumpstart Fall Out Boy’s glory days - this album walked so Cork Tree could jog so Infinity On High could run so Folie á Deux could fly at the speed of light

Florence + the Machine - Everybody Scream
85

The perfect companion piece to Dance Fever complete with hauntingly gorgeous vocals and instant-classic songwriting, both from Welch and her collaborators. An absolute banger, though it does feel less important to listen in order as Dance Fever, more of a collection of songs without a resolution for the project as a whole.

- One of the Greats

Good Neighbours - Blue Sky Mentality
71

Good Neighbours is channeling too much COIN, Smallpools, Milky Chance, Lime Cordial, The Wombats, and other such indie pop bands that this album feels just all too derivative of what the bigger genre bands have accomplsihed before them. "Blue Sky Mentality" is as inoffensive as it comes, which to an extent works well for a 14-track debut in the TikTok era since only one or two of the tracks were clearly skippable, but I also couldn't really put into words what this band's ... read more

Bryant Barnes - SOLACE
56

I’m tired of this boring bloated ass reverb-laced uninspired on-the-nose soft boy slop. So few interesting ideas on this record that I could have sex with a man for each one and still be considered straight by any reasonable person. i guess he’s got the soft pop R&B formula down and it works for him but why did we feel the need to make SEVENTEEN of them for one album? 17 tracks is the definition of quantity over quality - I’d say the same thing across genres like when ... read more
