I see the evolution after Room On Fire but i do NOT see how this leads into Angles LMFAOOOO and this album definitely overstays its welcome toward the end.

I actually found myself more engaged with this one than their debut - a relisten would provide more depth to my review but I can already see myself coming back to this more than Is This It

Not as dynamic as I like but definitely more interesting on another listen. The New Abnormal is still legions above though.

I think I liked this one best of the three so far- this is really where their studio sound starts to feel crisp, but it does lack some of the wild production from earlier records

Saw these guys open for The Technicolors and got hooked - they’ve got a sweet sound and blend genres effortlessly. Would like to hear them go a little bit deeper with their production but they definitely have got it down.

I saw someone describe this album as “southern-fried rock” and i just adore that description. It’s such an easy listen and, frankly, is quite comforting. Huge win for me in finding this album :)

This feels like the first time since his debut that Harry Styles has truly crafted an unbreaking identity in one of his albums, and it’s one that he’s clearly been chasing since Fine Line. While it still comes with a bit too much restraint and a sometimes unremarkable tracklist, this album adeptly showcases Harry’s knack for pop hooks while finally including some serious experimentation on the composition and production.

Damn - Gorillaz really continue to stretch the boundaries of pop music with this art pop fusion concept album. I am in awe of the gravity and density of this album, and I feel like it will grow on me in the long and short term.

Running With Scissors is a bit derivative of others in the genre, though it does remind me of some of my favorite indie pop records from this scene (chiefly Hippo Campus’ LP3, can’t tell you why).
Overall though it is still a lot of fun, just doesn’t really break any new ground either.

the first couple of songs are truly captivating and beautiful, but as I expected it became quite the challenge for Moby to innovate through the entire 90-minute runtime.
He is smart about where he places features to try and disturb the monotony, and there are no offensive sounds or tracks, but I think this would’ve been a lovely 45-minute album instead.
