It does offer good experimental sounds through out the album but at times I can't really stand the rapping and I think that it affected my experience. I understand the appeal but I just can't enjoy it to the extreme levels that other people love it at.
It's always going to be kinda impossible for The Weeknd to miss but I felt like this album didn't have any larger sense of direction like Dawn FM had and that is pretty much my only gripe for this album because it just felt a lot, I guess mostly because of the length, as mostly a collection of just really good songs.
At the end of the day this is just not my type of music at all and it will probably never be. I still have gripes about how he used the So Sick beat as a sample as it never would have fit in any way in it feels like the sampling he has on a lot of his songs are just sampling for the sake of sampling stuff. Also his vocabulary when he says stuff like "ick" and "+1000 aura" just is a bit cringeworthy. His music to me is just kind of the epitome of whatever and it always has ... read more
I should really get myself to listen to more cloud rap because it can be some of the most addicting music I know and it just does something to me that not a lot of other music can do. I didn't really expect this to be my favorite album of the year yet or something that might end up being a top 10-20 album for me this year but the music is just like a drug and something I love listening to.
I have always respected how Mac Miller seems to have people who puts respect to his name when it comes to posthomous releases and I think that this album is a showcase of it. It's kind of my introduction to Mac, or at least to this era of him and a lot of it is much more beautiful than I even thought it would and it sounds so good that you begin to wonder why this was even shelved in the beginning. Can't wait to return to this album more because I can tell this will only grow on me.
Not something thats for me going ti have a lot of replay value except maybe Punish and Amber Ways but I can’t musically really complain about a lot as it sounded beautiful.
It’s a Lil Baby album after all so there’s not really a lot to expect. It’s listenable which is a good thing that immediately makes it better than his last one. I just find Lil Baby as an artist that has somewhat of an appeal when you start listening but one that also wears of easily after a couple of tracks. What usually separates an album of his from being a snoozefest or not is how good the rest and in this case he did a solid job I guess. So all in all I guess I label this ... read more
I have really enjoyed watching the rollout of this album mostly through TikTok and I’m really happy I liked it as this felt like an album I would either really love or really hate. This album and Jane’s single being released on the first day of the year is insane btw and if today is a sign of things to come I am really excited for it.
Bold move of her to drop song of the year on the 1st of january but I respect it
I feel kinda misogynistic for not listening to this until now but nevertheless I have finally done it. I think it's really good and while there of course are some songs that doesn't tickle my ears the way I like there are a lot that did and the way she uses the words and her flow on some of them can make me really happy. I do personally think that my interest level of this went down towards the end of the album but I still think she managed to have some great songs on the back end ... read more
The only thing that can make me respect Kanye again is if he returns to this sound or features Yuno Miles on every Vultures 3 track.
This actually went so much harder than I thought. Definitely like the last 3 songs the most.
This up-and-coming Swedish band is definitely one to watch and everyone that claims to love music should be listening to this. As a swedish music loving terminally online person it's hard to not have heard about all the praise that this has gotten here over the last months and listening to it makes you understand all of it. It's inexplicable to me how people around the same age as me are able to create the music that's on this album. People who are barely adult yet are able to ... read more
This has become my entry point for The Beatles and I think it's absolutely incredible. Musically, the melodies and the sound feels very soothing and it becomes addicting to listen to.
