It's sounds beautiful and is amazing from beginning to end. I think it's amazingly crafted as well as she is able to make a slower album where every moment is beautiful and not one feel like its wasted. I couldn't get enough of the sound and this is my favorite Fiona Apple album.
I did not like Lego Ring or Feeling Good Today because they both doesn't really fit the album imo but everything else was really good and pleasant to listen to.
I wasn't a big fan of the first half as some tracks with more goofier instrumentals don't work for me and others aren't at the same level. I think the album makes a complete 180 in quality at the moment that the second half begins and it is just a bunch of great/amazing songs, one after another until the closing track which was fine but kinda on the same kinda meh quality as the tracks on the first half of the album.
I wish I could enjoy this as much as I see everyone else is but I don't. I did really like the last 3 tracks but everything else felt kinda boring and I just couldn't really vibe with this a lot. It's still decent though as I don't think it sounds bad at any time, it's just that I don't really feel the vibe on most of the tracks.
I think I could listen to Phoebe Bridgers sing anything and I would still love it. All the songs to me sounded kind of alike but each and everyone were good enough for me to not really care or get bored with it. I also liked that there was a more electronical produced sound rather than the more acoustic sound on "Stranger in the Alps" as I think she fits more on to these instrumentals, and is what makes the biggest difference between me liking this one more than her debut.
Considering Disc 2 is pretty much filled with songs that don't sound finished, I'm only basing my ratings on the first one as it actually sound like finished music on there. The album is amazing and does at times feel like it's on the same level as Grace.
I don't think that the thing she went for worked and it therefore ends up being a pretty bad experience over the 14 minutes that I listen to this.
There is definitely a lot of average songs on here but there are a lot of unexpected bangers too on this by artists I never really thought would have songs together.
This is actually really bad. I don't care if Kid Cudi retires from music at this point. He isn't good and he's not going to get better. To me this album is all just really boring humming with the occasional sweet release of a feature which most of the time isn't able to save the song from what Cudi has already done to it.
I did expect more from this as it was his first solo album in over half a decade and some of it is really good with my favorite tracks being "all of me", "née-nah" and "dangerous". But a lot of it is also really generic and even boring, especially the first half of the album.
Out of all Denzel albums this is probably my least favorite. It started of great with the first 4 tracks but after that I didn't really feel the vibe on most of it and I couldn't really get into to it that much because of it.
It seems like 2024 is off to an alright start musically. It is a pretty good sounding project when it comes to production. When it comes to the performance though it is also pretty good as both of them flow pretty good on the tracks but at the same time they can make a song sound kinda generic and also a bit corny at times due to their delivery on some of the tracks.
Beautiful and amazing music, I don't know what else to say. R.I.P.
Everything about this is great. The cover, the beats and Denzel Curry himself.
When having listened to his projects before I think that this is the Vince Staples I always knew existed and wanted in a full length album. I love that he chose to have hidden features as not knowing about the Kendrick feature made the experience of listening to that so much better and made me more hype.
MAVI for me is an artist that makes music that would usually check all my boxes for boring but he always manages to not make it that. I guess the thing that makes it good is the way he delivers his lines and the way that you can actually feel and hear the emotions he puts into the delivery which makes it nice and interesting to listen.
I listened to this because I knew he was a Dreamville member which meant it was probably going to be good and not knowing or hearing anything from him made it more exciting to dive in and listen. Any expectations I had of this before listening were exceeded when listening. It was created in a way with such good production and performances throughout it and the high quality of the songs are the same through its whole length and with the vibes of the album it created an amazing listening ... read more
X was one of the worst things I had ever heard in my entire life. The only reason I then decided to listened to this now was because I had heard "Jennifer's Body" and "Fighting My Demons" which I thought were amazing songs. Despite it's length and amount of tracks it didn't dissapoint and it seems for me that Ken Carson has found a way to make music that isn't insufferable anymore.
